Happy New Year! It’s been so long since I’ve created a new illustration for #morningsketching and it feels good. I’m not going to promise I’ll draw everyday this year but I will promise that I’ll keep on posting. Until the next post! Much love. XOXO by @morningsketching

Happy Tuesday!
Over the weekend the @thesournotes announced their next show with a commissioned design from the “Geometric Gig Poster” series. I created the main design for IG stories and resized for a print poster and IG grid posts. 2nd Slide shows copy elements added.

Hi all! I’ve been a bit of a stranger on here but don’t worry, I’ll be back. Took a little digital hiatus and switched things up with some analog pieces in my sketchbook.

This one I created at @townla while sitting at the bar, having some pizza and wine and chatting about life with the super interesting bar tender.

Happy National Bee Day! 🐝
My dearest and one of my closest friends @beckyeckyecky asked me to create a bee and floral themed tattoo. I chose the American / Brown-belted Bumblebees and Indian Blanket (AKA Firewheel. Gaillardia pulchella) because they are both native to our home in North Texas. She chose one of the more minimal designs and I think it turned out so great! Thanks to Becky for the support and love and tattoo artist @skyclarkart for doing such a beautiful job. I am truly honored. Swipe for the finished piece and other design options. 😘

I haven’t been posting much. Mainly because I’ve really been feeling the job hunt blues. I’ve also been assisting my neighbor in our shared garden space which is quite uplifting and makes me want to only focus on plant growth. This makes me wonder, since my ancestors were farmers perhaps that’s my path too… but seriously y’all, if you have job leads for a graphic designer with illustration skills please send my way. Or if you have a flower job. 🤪

Welcome to the month of May, folks! About a year back I purchased this beautiful succulent from the DTLA Flower District and I had no idea how much it would grow or how lovely it would become. Sometimes we all need a reminder that growth can be beautiful. Keep on growing y’all. XO

Happy Monday! Yesterday, I made the birds and pollinators in the garden a bath. I’ll let you know if they like it. 😜🐦🛁
