For those who are new here - hi, I’m Natalie, the founder of Moroz Linen 🌱.

At our quiet little studio in Toronto 🇨🇦, we craft custom linen bedding made to order, rooted in nature 🍃, family traditions 🧶, and the belief that the best sleep comes wrapped in nature 🌿—in pure linen that gently grounds and restores 💤.

I don’t often talk about myself here, but today I felt like sharing something from the heart ✨.

There’s something incredibly meaningful about finding your path. Especially, when what you do begins to touch other people’s lives 🫶.

For me, that moment came when I realized how much sleep, something so personal and essential, can be transformed by something as simple and natural as linen 🌾.

This business has always felt like a journey 🚶‍♀️. One that I hoped might make a small difference in someone’s life. Just as linen once made a difference in mine 💫.

Every client is special 💌 Every order is unique. And that’s exactly how I want to keep it.

So here’s a little look at what goes on behind the bedding.

There are quite a few steps between a piece of linen fabric and the finished bedding that arrives at your door.

The fabric arrives, and slowly, it starts becoming the bedding you’ll find in our green box, duvet covers, sheets and pillowcases.

Every piece is made to order in a Canadian workroom. Measurements to double-check, edges to finish, buttons to attach. Lots of little details that go into making each order.

Not all of this work makes it onto Instagram, but it’s a big part of what we do.

And then it’s folded, packed and on its way to a new home. 📦

The linen is woven in Italy and comes to our Canadian workroom, where it will be made into bedding.

Each order has its own measurements. We work through the details before the linen is cut to size.

Not every bed or duvet fits a standard size.

We can make adjustments to the measurements, whether it’s a deeper fitted sheet, a longer flat sheet or a duvet in a custom size.

Once the linen is cut, it’s sewn and finished in our Canadian workroom. This is where the pieces start coming together.

Ivory has a little warmth to it. The kind that makes a bedroom feel softer without changing the whole feeling of the room.

Still think linen is just for summer? 🌿

We’ve always loved linen for summer, but here’s something you may not know. 🤍

It’s not just a fabric that keeps things cool.

A 2014 study by CETELOR, a laboratory of the University of Lorraine, found that linen ranked second for heat retention among four textiles tested under the same conditions, ahead of cotton.

So, how does linen retain heat?

The natural structure of flax fibres creates tiny spaces that hold air close to the body. That air provides a layer of insulation, helping linen retain warmth while still allowing it to breathe.

And this is what makes linen so comfortable through every season. Warm when you need it, breathable when you don’t.

As we head into fall, we start looking at linen bedding a little differently. 🍂
