And... Save the date for our NEXT DAY EVENT IN LONDON on 🎉 SAT 28 MARCH 2026 🎉

Pentecosting an Art-Practice
- explores the liturgical contours of art-making, in dialogue with the Pentecost event (Acts 2) and Catherine Pickstock’s work on language, meaning, and doxology. We’ll consider what it means to retrieve the liturgical end Modernity has supposedly stripped away, offering a few reflections on the Holy Spirit’s role in contemporary art-practice

@isaiah_morris_ is a new media artist and writer. With a Master’s in Christianity and the Arts from King’s College, London (Distinction). He researches Australian Pentecostalism, the Catholic theologian Hans Urs von Balthasar, and projection and light-based art’s theological dimensions. Isaiah has exhibited artworks across Australia, Asia, and the UK, in galleries, shopping malls, music festivals, and churches. by @morphe_arts

On Friday 13 Nov we will be hosting a special event in London - the FINAL 'After Session', with writer and curator @hettiejudah . Hettie has been touring the UK and beyond to discuss the ideas in her new book, How To Enter The Art World, and we have the privilege of hosting the final session.

Join us for an informal, intimate, evening event built around art, conversation and community.

The session will open with short presentations from four Morphe artists, each of whom will share their recent and current work.

Hettie Judah then takes a seat at the centre for an open, hour-long conversation, taking questions about the art world, about her work, about navigating a creative life. Bring whatever's on your mind.

This exhibition is the culmination of that residency, and this year is curated by the wonderful @karensdavid

This year's artists are:
@angelcleoart
@kqhuangart
@nateg.myers
@susu.calvert

We had a wonderful morning on Saturday at Morphe London, with talks and performance by @alastair_gordon and @sarah_white16 - It was great to be with the Morphe artist community with extended time to eat together and catch up, seeing old friends and new.

In London our Artist Residency programme is ongoing over the summer, with the weekly Monday teaching programme and final exhibition in October.

Our wider Morphe programme will return after the summer.

The FITA team is back! And since we we’ve been away, there seems to have been some subtle shifts in the faith/art conversation. Popular culture seems more interested in Jesus and the Christian faith than they were a few years ago and Marlita, Ally and Jonny want to talk about it. If you do too, join us for our mini series that asks ‘is faith back in the arts?’

Sat 4 July will be our next London Morphe gathering, 10am-1pm. There will be talks by the Morphe London team @alastair_gordon and @sarah_white16 followed by a community lunch.

Sarah and Ally will explore creativity, grace, and what it means to become more fully human through relationship, movement, theology, and artistic practice.

Through a combination of talk and performative lecture, this event considers creativity not as striving or self-performance, but as a response to something already given. Drawing on ideas of embodiment, imitation, the Trinity, and the Christian understanding of imago Dei, both presentations explore how making begins in attention, receptivity, and relationship.

Sarah White’s performative lecture explores movement, self-emptying, and the porous boundaries between self and other, asking how we are shaped through imitation, adaptation, and encounter.

Alastair Gordon’s talk, Grace in the Making, reflects on creativity as something rooted not in achievement, but in grace: we create because we have first been created and loved.

Together, these two presentations invite us into a richer understanding of art, faith, and human connection.

The event concludes with a shared lunch that will be provided.

Morphe Artist Residency Programme 2026, Part Time Programme: our third and final artist is Yula Kim @yurajoanrobinakim

Yula Kim's paintings emerge from a search for certainty - one shaped by movement, meory, and a sdesire to exist beyond imposed definitions. Having lived acoss Asia, Polynesia, Africa and Europe within a religously conservative framework, her work reflects an ongoing negotiation between external expectations and an inner sense of self. Kim is a London-based painter whose practice explores the relationship between the self, nature, and contemporary modes of living. She holds an MA in Contemporary Art Practice from the Royal College of Art and an MA in Museums and Galleries in Education from University College of London.

Her work has been presented at theAuckland Artweek (2021), the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's Civic Gallery as part of the Platinum Jubiilee Collection (2022), Tate Modern (2023), BNK Bank Gallery (2023), Haesung Art Bay (2024), the Science Museum's Communicating Time and Culture Project (2024), Kingston Museum ((2024-5), the London Design Festival (2025) and Bath Arts Fringe (2025). In 2023, one of her paintings was selected to commemorate the coronation of King Charles III and was exhibited at Windsor Castle during the Coronation Concert. by @morphe_arts

Morphe Residency Programme 2026, Part Time Programme: introducing artist Lindsay Pickett @lindsaypickettart

Working from multiple sources of inspiration, Pickett finds that depicting hybrid animals work as a metaphor for his sense of not belonging and his feelings of being ‘other’. His latest works include dark dramatic misshapen animal forms that Pickett calls ‘creatures of consequence’ are also representations of his mental health state. Pickett has battled with depression dealing with loss throughout his life and this ‘loss’ is also the loss of humanity in the monsters that he has depicted in his work.

Born in London in 1974, Pickett lives and works in the leafy suburbs of South West London. He also works from home. Creating amazing works from his subconscious mind for the past 20-30 years Pickett has built up an enormous body of work in that time. In 2021 he graduated from City and Guilds of London Art School with an MA in Fine Art specialising in painting and in 1999 graduated from the University of East London with a BA in Fine Art. Pickett is also the founder for Dreamscapes, which is a Surrealist group of emerging artists that started in 2024. This group which he initiated, marked the 100th anniversary of surrealism.
