What’s something you’ve done that you never thought you could?

There are two things I can use for this

First, running a Half Marathon. 21k is not a small distance, and I had taken up running as physio for a broken ankle, and caught the running bug.

Second is kigging Morrigan Aensland. It was one of my first kig goals when I started in the fandom and took me over 10 years to achieve, and only now am I mostly happy with her

How do you manage stress?

I used to think I managed it well.

Recently, I think I don't.

I've been seeing more than one medical professional about anxiety, and even been in A+E twice with chest pains that are believed to be from stress and anxiety, all within the last year.

What’s something you’ve done that your past self would be proud of?

Met new people

Like Iz for example :-)

Sounds lame? Maybe it is, but I was, and still am very much so an introvert, my kig and furry have let me meet so many new people.

And, of course some other people I wish I had not met after finding out their history. (If you know, you know..., they recently made quite a few waves for all the wrong reasons)

What’s the best online course you’ve ever taken?

Actually there are two. These were both on an internal training platform in an earlier job I had.

One was "How to handle and de-escalate interactions with customers", which covered methods of calming and attempting to de-escalate angry customers (I used to work directly customer-facing so this was a regular occurrence)

Another was a training going through an internal system the company used. The trainer was the dev who wrote the system

Which celebrity would you love to meet, and what would you talk about?

Living or dead? If living, I would love to meet Sir David Attenborough; his wildlife documentaries were a staple of my childhood and I would watch them whenever they popped up on TV (on-demand TV was non existent back then), I remember taping them on VHS and rewatching them over and over.

If dead are included, I would love to meet Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson and Robin Williams.

What does it mean to be a good person?

To be understanding (don't make assumptions about the person)

To listen (understand the other person) To be open (you might be wrong about them or something about them)

Don't be judgmental (you might not like something about them - the way they dress, talk, their opinions, their orientation, their identity- but that should not always be the reason you hate them)

What’s one thing you know now that would have saved your younger self a lot of pain?

You can't please everyone.

I spent longer than I would like to admit trying to take on board every comment I received, trying to please every commenter, before realising it wasn't possible, and indeed, I shouldn't try to please every commenter -- and doing so would risk me running down the path of having an unhealthy and dangerous view of my own body...

What’s the best way to meet new people while traveling?

I don't travel that much, so I can't really answer this, but I would say if you're travelling, chat with the people who are travelling with you.

If, for example, you're stuck in a metal tube with them for 20 hours, it's probably a good idea to try to get along ....

You never know who you might meet.... :)
