My husband teases me about always grabbing my stitching bag when I head out “just in case.” Well a friend had an unexpected appointment at a facility with very limited cell service so I was completely happy stitching in the car for a few hours while I waited. So glad I don’t have to rely on my cell phone for entertainment. #crossstitchersofinstagram #crossstitcher by @morstitching

Never forget. Lost that fateful day was my sons 8 year old friend Zoe and her family. She was such a lovely little girl, bubbly and full of life. Her little sister Dana was in pre-school with my son Samir and when I rushed to pick him up from the Federal building that housed his school I didn’know the full extent of terror. I can’t imagine the joy and excitement they felt leaving for their adventure and the horror they must have felt when terrorists entered their lives.

Also not to be forgotten, Sheila Hein, another UP resident, whom I did not know personally but whose name I will never forget

“Curly-haired Dana Falkenberg died with her mother, father and 8-year-old sister, Zoe. The robust 3-year-old was seen as a miracle by her parents, reports The Mirror. Zoe was a top student, active in Girl Scouts, ballet and swim team. She was greatly loved by her friends, teammates and teachers.

The girls’ father, Charles Falkenberg, 45, was a former NASA engineer. Their mother, Leslie Whittington, 45, was a university economics professor due to take up a post in an Australian college.

The University Park, Md. family was on the first leg of a journey to vacation in Canberra, Australia. They had missed a connecting flight and boarded the ill-fated American Airlines flight 77 in D.C.”

This day will always be hard and I will always be selfishly grateful that my husband was not at work that day - he had been working on a project at the Pentagon in the location where the plane hit and was somewhere else this fateful day. My heart still aches for those that were lost and for those that lost. by @morstitching

I’m trying to finish packing for the move and The Boys are being super helpful. Do you think they want me to pick a new cross stitch to start rather than packing? #crossstitch #crossstitcherofinstagram #catmom by @morstitching

I can’t get enough of stitching Plum Street, especially her ‘stackers.’ Normally I have one in rotation with larger projects but this time I stitched it quickly as I’m still banning myself from starting large projects until this house is packed. Freedom Flock is stitched on 36 count Oat from BeStitchMe with the called for floss. #stitchallthethings #plumstreetsamplers #crossstitch #crossstitchersofinstgram by @morstitching

Pip is bringing a strawberry to her new friends. I have 4 or 5 others #animalcrackers stitched but have been nervous to finish them. Nothing lights a fire under your but like a little girl, who happens to love hedgehogs, having a birthday so I present to you my 1st finished cracker. She is stitched on 40 count Saltbush by Fox and Rabbit with the called for floss. Her friends are from WoodWoolStories on Etsy and I love their little caddies so much that my husband just treated me to this one knowing I use one from them featuring cats on the daily. Now to gift her and get back to packing (I will stitch her again for me next). Happy Stitching! #stacynashanimalcrackers #crossstitcher #crossstitcherofinstagram by @morstitching

I’ve been spending lots of time purging and packing for our big move. I’m finally tackling the hardest part for me, my craft room. It’s more than that to me, it’s where my treasures are, photos, gifts from friends, 30+ years of crafting supplies, and my crossstitch. This is my place of memories, each little thing with a story. They will have a new place and we’ll make new memories but this is bittersweet. I’ve told myself “no stitching” until I hit certain packing milestones, and i’ve held strong, but today the doorbell rang and the postman had a much anticipated package from The Attic. I squealed and immediately pulled out the Vikki Clayton silks conversion I’ve been keeping in a special place. So beautiful and appropriate as I pack to move to the 1st country that acknowledged the independence of America. by @morstitching

Finally braved this finish! I have only fully finished a few small pillows yet I have a stack of stitching that needs to be FFO’d. I decided to go for it and did this mattress finish and i’m beyond happy at my first attempt. I learned a lot and will definitely do another finish like this. Now if I can only face my stack of stitched Animal Crackers 😆 Pattern is @stacynashdesigns Big Chicken Little Chicken Pinkeep with the called for WDW floss on 40 count Flax Newcastle linen. . #crossstitcher #crossstitchersofinstagram #ididit by @morstitching

For the last few months i’ve only been working on gifts and couldn’t post anything until they were all delivered. Here are a few of them. As much as I love making gifts i’m happy to be working on a few of my own projects again. #crossstitcher #crossstitchersofflosstube by @morstitching
