The amount of footage in my phone is a negative function of how long I stay in Berlin, and this is the result of the second half of May. At least however it is directly oppositely correlated to the quality times had. Thanks for all the visitors and friends that made it to my Kater debut (I forgot to do the classic DJ photo in front of the club, nor do I have our usual group photo at the Flamboyant residence with my entourage - pardon me, will do better next time). This post is to celebrate the amazing women and gender-expansive friends I am privileged to have in my life.

Quite literally I wouldn’t be who I am today without you. In all the ways you inspire me, and in all the ways I am proud of each of you.

I have collected the most creative, intelligent, wise and last but not least, fun (and funny) creatures over the years and it’s been a pleasure to witness each other’s growth — there’s something in friendships growing old and, despite not always being in the same place, the willingness to travel together or visit each other makes it even more special; and the feeling of being able to fall back into the same flow as if no time has passed.

This to me is what true friendship is. To trust we have each other’s back, to have you hold my tears (and those were many), to, despite the difficult moments, accept each other for who we really are and choose compassion over holding grudges, and openness over gossip (even if we still love a little gossip 🤣).

To remind each other of our worth, to hold space, to be silly together, to dance, to create, collaborate, dress up, and, of course, contribute to dismantling the patriarchy together. My 20s could have been a lot more boring!

You’ll also find a photo with my mama and grandmama — the two women I owe who I am the most. ❤️

I hope these shots make you want to check out my dear friends Andrea analog photography work @andrejrusskovskij. I definitely feel honored to be part of his portrait objects and for once I have proper outfit shots, and this one was a special one for the epic birthday celebration of a dear friend and THE ultimate queen of colors @iamlooneyhouse under the theme of Alice in Wonderland meets Saltburn.

I’m wearing my own design custom @ukena.store trousers with @oleukena embroidery layer made for my own birthday celebration - it’s been my favorite piece not only to wear in ensemble with the matching jacket but to also style it in other context such as this.

Top, bag and the choker are unknown brands bought second hand (as most of the things that I buy instead make, unless they are made by my designer friends or other independent brands)

Belt and earrings are made by the birthday girl herself (that belt has seen some proper berghaining) but sadly are not available for sale anymore, however some beautiful new directions are emerging at @l.o.m_design! Gloves are early work of @fencisuka, a Lithuanian designer, wig is borrowed from my forever stylist @jamilletessarim (I love to be able to have an extended wardrobe through my Flamboyant fam) and the headpiece is made by me a day before at the workshop of @nicafurtacor (who continues to inspire me in colorful maximalism for the past 9 (!) years) using bits from her and Louise’s collection as well as my own old crafting box that’s been put aside for way too long.

This is an invitation for you to choose something that is not beige next time you are confronted with that decision ❤️ the world certainly needs that

Saudades to 9th annual pilgrimage to @garbicz_festival ❤️some of my favorite outfits (@l.o.m_design & @ukena.store obvio 🔥), disproportionate amount of photos featuring @kieraitee @vitamin_jay_z @kieraitee reflect the truth of it, highlight moment of my handy friend @lucdeanryan tapping my braids as I had no hair bands (I continue standing strongly by this decision and carry no regret to this day), and my job as a clown manager. Many more strange and beautiful moments at this vortex of a festival that raised me since my early 20s are not captured, because ain’t nobody got time for that, but big love to all that happened there last year 🪩 taken in Garbicz Festival by @morta.mor
