As 2025 comes to an end I wanted to share a li’l something from one of my absolute highlights of the year - visiting Kenya and Tanzania 🇰🇪🇹🇿

Between climbing Mount Kenya, safari in Masai Mara and snorkling in Zanzibar I met a ton of incredible people and came back with a heart full of memories I hope I’ll never forget 🙏

2024 became the year I finally did it. For many years I’ve contemplated getting on stage to see if I could give people a good chuckle. But for many years I’ve postponed it, afraid and nervous that I couldn’t do it and that I’d be telling jokes desperately to the sound of crickets.

After being encouraged by friends (most notably @evi_binder) I finally summoned the courage to attend an open mic. While I still have lots to improve on and learn I am pretty darn proud of myself. The results you can see in the video in this post.

One thing I am absolutely certain of is that 2025 will be the year where I will get back on that stage as much as they’ll let me as it is such an exciting and riveting experience to perform.

Sometimes you gotta face your fears and just go for it. You don’t wanna look back one day and think “what if”.

I setup another IG account where I will be posting my standup and other shenanigans so if you’re into that kind of stuff please follow @mortendamcomedy and I promise that you’ll be at least moderately entertained!

Kyrgyzstan Part 2/2 🇰🇬

After arriving at Karakol - the biggest city by the magical lake Issyk-Kul - I hooked up with a guide to go horseback riding, watch an eagle hunt (the eagle is the hunter, not the hunted) and hiking around the beautiful landscape by the lake 🦅

After this I felt like horsing around a bit more so I went on a 2 day horseback tour up the mountain Altyn-Arashan where I once again slept in a yurt camp with the most stunning view I've ever seen (see slide 5)🏇

I ended up back in Karakol to relax for a few days before heading home with a head spinning from all these crazy adventures 😵‍💫😍

The pictures and videos I share with you here do not do my experience justice whatsoever. The country is much more beautiful than you could capture in a picture, but I gave it my best shot 📸

I hope some of you will consider visiting this majestic country so you could see for yourselves 😉

P.S bring bicycle shorts if you're going horseback riding. Will save you a lot of pain 😆

Kyrgyzstan Part 1/2 🇰🇬

Earlier this summer I embarked on one of the most spectacular and eye opening travels of my life to Kyrgyzstan. A country with a breathtaking nature, wide ranges and the most hospitable open people (as you can hear in the video on slide 6).

Kyrgyz people will (strongly) insist on sharing food or drink with you, despite a significant language barrier and cultural differences, so I often ended up with multiple lunches or dinners on the same day. Not the worst cultural trait!

These pictures are from the first part of my trip where I visited first Bishkek then Shamshy and had my first experience at Lake Issyk-kul seeing The Seven Bulls.

If you ever find yourself wanting to go to Central Asia I can so highly recommend Kyrgyzstan as your destination!

Homeoffice in April with the best roomie☀️🍵👙

Six months ago, I embarked on a journey to a city I never visited with a stranger as my roommate. Little did I know, it’d become my favorite city, and that stranger my closest friend.

Life throws curveballs and unexpected changes our way, but with a positive outlook, everything falls into place, often exceeding our expectations 🚀
