What is a Bridge Loan?

One of the challenges buyers face is needing the money from the sale of their current home to complete the purchase of their new one. That’s where bridge financing comes in.

A bridge loan is short-term financing that helps “bridge the gap” between the sale of your existing property and the possession of your new home.

Here’s how it works:

✔️ Allows you to access equity from your current home before it officially closes
✔️ Helps cover the down payment for your new purchase
✔️ Keeps your transaction moving forward without delays
✔️ Commonly used when your new home possession date comes before the sale funds from your current home are received
✔️ Short-term financing that is typically repaid once your existing property sale closes

Bridge financing can be a helpful tool when you’re buying and selling at the same time.

Before mortgages, I served as a Project Manager for the federal government, designing national projects for the Appeals Program across Canada.

I was trained to:
• Build roadmaps from vision to execution
• Stress-test systems
• Anticipate risk
• Create efficiency at scale

That strategic foundation shaped how I approach mortgages today.

Early in my career, when something shifted last minute or a detail surfaced unexpectedly, I took it personally. I would replay scenarios in my mind asking, “How could I have prevented this?”

But growth taught me something powerful:

Unexpected doesn’t mean unprepared.

Today, when challenges arise, I don’t panic.
I problem-solve.
I recalibrate.
I execute.

✨ We spent the evening at Baby Baby in the Osborne area to celebrate a special day — and from the moment we walked in, it felt like the perfect choice.

The space has this cozy, candle-lit charm that makes you want to linger a little longer — soft music, friendly faces, and a calm energy that instantly sets the mood for a beautiful dinner. 💛

Here’s what we ordered 👇

🦪 Fresh Oysters (not in photo) – briny, fresh, and a perfect start to the night.

🐚 Scallop Crudo ($17) – paper-thin scallops dressed in a bright aguachile, paired with melon and cucumber on a crisp tostada. It was delicate, refreshing, and full of summery flavour in every bite.

🥔 Chili Potato Manti ($14 / per 4) – these dumplings were the ultimate comfort dish. Fluffy potato filling with a rich chili butter, creamy labneh, and just a hint of sweetness from tomato jam — total flavour explosion.

🐟 Grilled Pickerel Vadouvan ($26) – a standout dish. Perfectly cooked pickerel with baby root vegetables, a nutty cashew sauce, and warm vadouvan spice that tied everything together beautifully.

🥩 BBQ Striploin ($60) – tender, smoky, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Served with mushroom escabeche, salsa negra, and beef jus that gave every bite a deep, rich finish.

We left full and happy — not just from the food, but from the experience. Every detail, from the presentation to the pacing, made the evening feel special.
