It's so good to take a moment and look back at how far you've come. If you are doing the work hats off to you. It takes courage, strength and patience. Leaning into the discomfort isn't easy. Be proud of yourself for rewiring your brain, nervous system, repsonses, relationships and also for breaking the generational trauma/ attachment chain. Well done you 🥰

This image initially specified children but I feel this is applicable to all of us humans, regardless of our age/ stage.

Our modern day culture can be a competitive one. It can be focussed on results, achievements, performance 🎓📝

What would happen if we started a new activity or hobby or class "just because"? If we started to paint or swim or dance simply "for the love" of it.

How about that?

What would YOU like to explore and experience just for fun?

Let me know in the comments, I'd love to hear from you, we can inspire each other! 😊

As we move through autumn and into winter, nature begins to rest, plants slow down, nights lengthen and we are designed to slow down too.

And yet, where we live, this time of year can feel anything but slow. Winter is a frenetic, unpredictable and hectic time.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot, especially in the quiet of interseason where I can feel myself syncing the the rhythm of the seasons a bit more, and I’ve realised that perhaps we don’t need another dynamic class to add to the energy of the winter season. Or maybe selfishly, I don’t need one.. So I’m changing my offerings to meet the season differently.

The classes will be softer; we’ll spend longer in postures, make more space for gentle movement and restorative stretches, explore more Yin, and give ourselves time to rest a bit.
Come as you are. Come when you can. Do what you can. Breathe. Move. Pause.

Class passes available
Saturday moves from 9 to 8 am once lifts open

See you on the mat 🫶 by @morzinewellness

I LOVE this! It is so true.
It's definitely uncomfortable in the moment and this feels like a great way to view the situation. Acknowledging something that is stretching your window of tolerance. Recognising your growing edges.
Perhaps encouraging self-compassion and patience within these growth moments that feel taxing/ messy/ challenging/ painful.
Acceptance is such a huge part of this. Sitting with what IS rather than what we wish. Being in the now instead of desperately trying to wrap it up and leave it behind.
Here’s to growing...always

Focussing and attending to external, top-down pressures is what leads to burnout (in the process, we are sacrificing what we really need to feel healthy and fulfilled). To balance out and eventually reverse the cumbersome pressure, we need to focus our energy on healthy bottom-up motivators and activities. #burnout #mentalhealth #balance #healthyliving #peoplepleasing by @morzinewellness

I love this as a reminder/ step-by-step follow along to help get you out of a stuck loop and into your parasympathetic nervous system.

We all need a little help sometimes when our brains get hijacked/ we start to spiral.

This visual journey takes you by the hand one step at a time.

Save it, share it, use whenever you need it!

The Nature fix! 💚

When we hear birdsong it signals to our nervous system that we are safe. We can relax and shift into parasympathetic (rest and digest) mode. It's no surprise the research results above agree with this.

Did you known that even looking at images of nature provide 50% of the benefits?

If you don't have direct access to a green or blue space here are some little things you can do:

🌳 Choose a landscape for your phone wallpaper/ lock-screen/ laptop
🌴 Listen to nature tracks on Spotify
🌲 Watch documentaries set in the wilderness
🌳 Install some nature art (or paint your own)

If you CAN get outdoors then go for it! As proven in the study just 10 minutes has benefits.

Still and maybe always will be my absolute favourite spot for yoga. Thank you Saturday morning team, what a lovely start to the day 💛

Next class Tuesday 18h30, more dynamic and saunas on @lac.de.montriond afterwards. Yes, we sauna in summer too 😉

Thank you @barrettamandajane for having a photographer on hand by @morzinewellness

Let's talk about our lens through which we experience the world 👓

I will use something that happened recently as an example.

Someone asked for a review of their service.
Even though it is a very busy time atm (being haute-saison in our lovely tourist resort) I took the time to provide specific, positive feedback and left them a great review.

That same evening they came back to me to ask "What would make it 5 star?"

Here’s what I heard - "your review isn't good enough".
Here’s how I felt - crappy.

Now I know that you can see that wasn't what was asked.
I know myself logically that they were not coming from a critical position and YET. And yet...

Our old attachment stuff shapes and colours the lens through which we experience the world.

We will still have times when even a small/ simple interaction triggers an old life script/ relational position within us.

As we travel along the therapy road we will find it easier to navigate these moments.

Today I can imagine in to the other person's perspective, talk about it with them and express what happened for me when asked that question.

Actively reaching out to the person that unintentionally poked a very old wound.

Could I have responded this way years ago? No.
Could I have created space from my narrative in order to imagine theirs? No.

Most likely it would have triggered a shame spiral/ prevented me from contacting them again.

Re-parenting with a counsellor helps to create counter-scripts to the ones so well trodden in your brain and body.

Therapy steadily sows the seeds of secure attachment. Of being safely held, validated and accepted exactly as you are.

THIS is where enormous amounts of healing can happen.

This is where create a clearer lens through which to see the world...It's like scraping off the old dirt that's warping your view.

If this resonates with you/ you feel ready to explore your 'lens' together, book in for an initial session:
