My new @mosaiccycles G-i55 is absolutely stunning. I am extremely excited to be working with a brand of their caliber and also be able to offer this level of bike to all our people. The big deal is custom geo. This bike was specifically designed based on my personal bike fit. The team over at Mosaic looked at it and shot me back a chart to review. It’s an extremely smooth process and really impressed me. Especially dealing with something so personal like bike fit. We really love doing custom builds for people and now being able to offer bikes with custom geo takes that to a whole other level. In other news I can now begin working on our mega gravel bike shootout. Postcards from Cadaques Having enjoyed cycling for a couple of years now and after going through a few carbon bikes, I reached a point where I wanted to experience something completely different - the feel of titanium. When @mosaiccycles launched the RT-Zero, it was love at first sight. It checked so many boxes I look for in the things I collect: an independent brand, limited production, custom geometry, meticulous finishing and a level of craftsmanship that makes each piece feel truly personal. In many ways, it reminded me of how I approach my horological hobby. Color choice is white from the very beginning. I had always wanted a white bike and I wanted the build to have a very distinct character. The accents came together around Chris King's newly released Jade colorway. A subtle shade that is discreet at first glance, but packs a punch when you pay attention to the details. I was able to bring together a wheelset I've been dreaming of building piece by piece. Something that hasn't been done before. Scope Cycling Artech 4 rims paired with Chris King Jade hubs and stainless steel spokes. Some might call it excessive, but I wanted to push the build beyond simply being a beautiful bike. I wanted it to feel like a Pièce Unique. The eeWings crankset was custom finished with anodized jade logos and topped off with a pair of Sturdy 3D-printed brake levers. Those small details are what ultimately made the bike feel like it was truly mine and somehow, I had to connect my love for watches with my love for cycling. The perfect pairing turned out to be my Behrens Ultralight, a remarkably light 20-gram titanium timepiece, finished with a white strap and an ergonomically curved case that hugs the wrist. Lightweight, purposeful, and unapologetically different. Perhaps that’s what I love most about this build. It isn’t just about the frame, the components, or the numbers on a spec sheet. It’s about taking a collection of ideas, colors, craftsmanship, and personal obsessions and bringing them together into something that feels truly yours. A bike, a watch, and a little bit of madness.
