Becoming a biennial event does not mean standing still. It means choosing to give greater value to each edition.

During an evening dedicated to design, together with participants from across the different editions of Open Air Design, @coimaimage and @moscapartners — with the contribution of @musefactoryofprojects — shared the journey towards 2027: more time to build collaborations, deepen the content and shape an increasingly conscious project.

The future begins with the care we devote to it.

2027 is already coming into focus.
The Behind Landscape lens is more than a representative object. It is an invitation to look beyond the surface and explore the hidden layers of every landscape.
A cultural and philosophical lens through which to observe the world — and the way we inhabit it.

Starting in 2027, Open Air Design, curated by @coimaimage and @moscapartners, will become a biennial.
A new rhythm, allowing more time to think, design, and create meaningful collaborations.
The theme of the next edition will be Behind Landscape: a cultural and philosophical lens through which to look beyond the surface, exploring the hidden layers of every landscape — and the way we inhabit the world.

MOSCAPARTNERS VARIATIONS HIGHLIGHTS

A look back at MoscaPartners Variations 2026 at Palazzo Litta, a journey through transformation, experimentation and collective visions during Milan Design Week.

This year’s edition explored Metamorphosis as a process of change, adaptation and regeneration through design, architecture and material research.

A heartfelt thank you to @linaghotmeh and her incredible team: it has been a true joy to shape and bring Metamorphosis in Motion to life together in the Main Courtyard of Palazzo Litta, transforming the space into a place of encounter, movement and shared moments.

Thank you to all the exhibitors, designers, architects, creatives and partners who made this edition so special, and to everyone who helped bring this collective vision to life.

A special thank you as well to the 58,000 visitors who came to experience and support our exhibition throughout the week.

NYCHAIR X AT MOSCAPARTNERS VARIATIONS 2026

Cotton, steel, and wood: pure materials combine to form a simple and elegant folding chair design. Traditional cotton mills and state-of-the-art factories work together to create a highly functional and beautiful Japanese masterpiece—Nychair X.
Deconstructing the chair draws attention to its simplicity, where every part is proof of careful attention to detail and craftsmanship. It highlights the lightweight nature of the chair, which can be easily folded and moved across places and through time.

DANILORAMAZZOTTI X NOVABELL CERAMICHE AT MOSCAPARTNERS VARIATIONS 2026

Rare Heart is born from geological time and the depths of matter. At the heart of Monte Rosa, rock and clay merge, forming strata, veins and mineral glints. From this emerges the shared research of Danilo Ramazzotti Italianhousefloor and NovaBell Ceramiche, where handcrafted terracotta and porcelain stoneware shape a holistic vision of contemporary living. The result: surfaces that do not imitate nature, but reinterpret its energy as architectural experience.

ONOFRIO ACONE AT MOSCAPARTNERS VARIATIONS 2026

A monumental ceramic installation celebrating craftsmanship as a poetic act and imperfection as a visual language. Handcrafted vases positioned at varying heights create a dynamic landscape of Mediterranean textures, expressive surfaces and vibrant glazes. The collection unfolds as a harmonious dialogue between matter, colour and space.
