I’ve heard this concept a few times recently, and for me, it rings true…

Often what you reached for as a kid; the thing you did when time disappeared…that’s usually the thing. Your thing.

Me? I rearranged my room. And the living room. I made a hangout space in the third bay of the garage. I would lay in my bed, looking at the walls, envisioning what they’d look like painted a different color.

And now…I find really cool furniture pieces with character, and arrange them. And clean them. And envision where they’ll live their next life. It’s very fun.

So, here’s an invitation to find your thing. Think back. It’s there somewhere.

And in the meantime, I invite you to the @chuffed_home warehouse for an open house on Saturday, May 2, from 10am-2pm. I’d love to see you. by @mosheahan

Home. It’s where I want to be.

I’ve spent a total of two nights in my own bed in the month of August. One week in the Leelanau Peninsula, two weeks in England. But I’ve felt at home the entire time.

We’re brewing some big, fun things with @chuffed_home and beyond and I feel most at home in that space…the dreaming space. And in physical places that feel slightly wild and full of potential.

So that’s where I’m at. Home. Just maybe not truly, physically at home. (Ha. Is anyone tracking with me?! 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️)

Feet on the ground. Head in the sky.
It’s ok. I know nothing’s wrong. 🎶

Mountains are my favorite. We hiked above the Imlil Valley in the Atlas Mountains, and while we couldn’t actually see it, Africa’s 2nd tallest peak (Toubkal) was lurking above us in the clouds.

We had a great hike, and a very good guide. Super neat to wind through Aremd on our way down. 🏔️ 💗 by @mosheahan

The Moroccan people are as beautiful as their country. We were welcomed with incredibly genuine hospitality, especially in the mountains in the Berber communities.

Our hiking guide welcomed us INTO HIS HOME (not part of the tour) and made us fresh mint tea.

We also met a kind and talented women’s cooperative who stopped their work to sing our friend a birthday jam. And they made us tea.

We left the city for wide open spaces in the Agafay Desert. Definitely not sandy like the Sahara. Rocky, with rolling hills. Lots of Arizona vibes. I felt right at home. Oh, except add camels (none of those in AZ!).

Oh and we did not miss the rain down in Africa. It arrived and we were bummed because it cut out our planned poolside hangs. But we made do with wine and cards by candlelight in a tent. 🤷🏼‍♀️ C’est bonne. by @mosheahan

When reviewing Medina photos, I realized more than half mine are from @elfennmarrakech, our riad-turned-hotel. 🤷🏼‍♀️🥰🫶🏼 It’s awesome. The design is so fun. It’s a perfect mix of old and new. Service was incredible. The location was perfect. I’d stay here again in an instant. by @mosheahan

We spent four days in Marrakech, bopping around the Medina. It wasn’t enough. This is a glimpse of what we saw, and it didn’t even scratch the surface.

I loved the architecture, the tile, the intricacies of every hard surface. The colors were amazing. The people were kind and fun.

And the best: most everything is hidden. The best parts of Marrakech unfold when you walk through a doorway or gate. Courtyards and palaces are revealed if you’re lucky enough to take the right turn. It’s magical. by @mosheahan

Some great moments from England, in no particular order. We spent two weeks sourcing for @chuffed_home, filled a 40-ft container, and will now spend the next month scrambling to get our warehouse ready to welcome said container (her name is Betty Blue), and allllll its beautiful contents. 🥰
