This isn't about them. It's about us.

I've struggled to find the right words for the anger, disappointment and helplessness I've felt this week.

I'm angry. I'm fucking angry.

And I'm tired of women being expected to stay quiet, look away, move on, or make difficult conversations more comfortable for everyone else.

I'm not interested in doing that.

I'm not going to stay silent. I'm not going to turn away because something is uncomfortable to talk about. And I'm certainly not going to pretend these conversations aren't necessary just because some people don't want to have them.

We need to talk about it. We need to challenge each other. We need to educate the people who need educating. And we need to keep talking about women's safety, women's experiences and what happens when women aren't believed, protected or heard.

So I wanted to do something with all of that rage and frustration

This is Jane Doe.

I chose the name because Jane Doe is a name used when a woman's identity is being kept private. But behind that name is a real woman. And behind every story we hear is a woman who is more than a headline, more than a case and more than something for other people to debate.

I don't want this piece to give any more attention or power to the people who cause harm.

This is about women.

Our strength.
Our voices.
Our solidarity.
Our refusal to be silent.

The chains are heavy and deliberately so. They're a reminder of the things that can make women feel restrained, silenced or powerless. But they're also something we can choose to wear openly, on our own terms.

This isn't about them.
It's about us.

For the month of October, Jane Doe will be available for £30, with £15 from every necklace sold donated to Rape Crisis England & Wales @rapecrisisew .The remaining £15 covers the cost of materials, production, packaging and selling fees.

I'll share the final amount raised at the end of the fundraiser.
I'm proud to be putting this out there, and I hope it starts conversations that need to be had.
