183 STREET | Ektachrome 16mm + 50D Super 8

“The film follows a man who misses his train, loses his job, and ultimately finds his breath. Shooting on film was always the goal, as we believe it brings an emotional weight and authenticity to the story and characters in a way digital simply cannot. The grain, the imperfections, and the texture give the story and its characters a presence that feels raw and human. To achieve this, we hand-developed 16mm Ektachrome 100D and paired it with Super 8 50D—crafting a tactile grain and texture that shaped a raw, physical, and cinematic visual language.” – Writer, Moises Acevedo

When’s the last time you actually watched an independent film? And what does it take to make one?
Two brothers from the Bronx have a new film called “183 Street” - a film about a man who misses his train, loses his job, but somehow still finds peace after it all.
As New Yorkers, we’ve all missed a train, maybe even been fired from a job, but is it possible to find clarity in the mix of chaos? That’s exactly what this film leaves you with.
Now take that experience and ask yourself - how do you deliver the message in such a short timeframe? That’s exactly what was done here. A powerful message packed into a short film, from a Local duo that continues to drop great projects, fully independent. taken in New York, New York by @mososway

Aja Monet: Live at the Blue Note, NYC | 500T & Tri-X B&W Super 8

“Set during her sold out residency at the historic Blue Note Jazz Club, this intimate film follows Grammy nominated poet Aja Monet as she moves between performance and stillness, transforming the stage into a space for vulnerability, resistance, and connection. Captured primarily on Kodak Vision3 500T Super 8, alongside a single roll of Kodak Tri-X black-and-white film, the piece observes the quiet moments behind the voice as much as the electricity of the room itself, creating an immersive reflection on presence, artistry, and what it means to truly be heard. The project incorporates hand-developed footage, processed with intentional variations in chemistry temperature to enhance texture, grain, and the tactile character of the image.”

The film will premiere on July 31 with Rooftop Films as part of their historic 30th Anniversary seasons in NYC.

We’re extremely excited to announce that our film:

Aja Monet: Live at the Blue Note, NYC

Will officially premiere this summer with Rooftop Films during their 30th anniversary season in NYC.

For the last three decades, Rooftop has championed independent voices in film, so the fact that we get to share this film outdoors, in community, under the New York sky feels really fucking rad!

Couldn’t think of a better way to begin the journey of this film. See you 7/31 👀
