In a vibrant, fantastical world, a small bug-like creature embarks on a delicate ritual: fishing for lost gems beneath the surface of a magical lake.

This is the first finished shot from my new personal project called "Destellos" (Glimmers) with music by the amazing @pierre_mendola .

The idea behind this project is to create one fully animated, short-film-quality shot every month or two. My main goal is to build consistency in my workflow and improve how I collaborate with other artists and friends.

CORNAMENTA - Color Script

“Cornamenta” is the project I have started developing for the second module of the GOBELINS master’s program under the guidance of @almu_redondo. It takes place in Trujillo, Extremadura, blending the traditions of Holy Week and the Chiviri festival with the surreal, the magical, and the iconography of the bull. At its core, the story revolves around two sisters who must face adulthood and all it entails, embarking on a mystical journey to the spiritual realm to say a final farewell.

Regarding structure, I wanted rectangles and straight lines to dominate the first act, emphasizing a diagonal line that increasingly tilts, like a clock counting the passage of time. For the magical world in the second act, I envisioned fluid curves that break apart as tension erupts, leading to a symmetrical conclusion that leaves us with a feeling of elegance and solemnity.
