Lightfighter Challenge VI 2026. 50+ competitors, 7th place for me.

The 8mile hike was the first test, then 5 friends and I spent the rest of the day moving through challenges as a group. Great group of guys and even better to see some people taking on Lightfighter for the first time. Every year this day is the accumulation of so many things, skill, struggle, preparation, brotherhood, gear, and preparedness. All things I love.

Huge thanks to LTAC for putting this on every year and those who sponsored the event. Good day in the woods. 💪

Lightfighter VI in the books and what an epic experience it was. While I’ve been a part of the LightFighter Challenge from its inception six years ago, this was the first time I’ve been able to fully participate as a competitor. The entire experience is a you vs you event and I delt with that right off the bat; - the 8 mile Ruck terrain wasn’t the groomed roads I trained on and I was off my pace within the first mile. Blessed to have @bug_2626 & @papazhenyas kept me company on the trail and @markslifeafterdelete for the motivation to keep pushing harder. All told their were 11 events and while I have a soft spot for the 249saw- between the rappelling, rifle shooting stages, archery, tactical medical, fire starting, & Russian shovel throwing it’s a tough pick for favorite; but I was extremely impressed with the Kim’s game challenge- really well thought out and smoothly run stage that tested not just your memory, but also the ability to compartmentalize tasks under time stress. Huge thanks to @lodestonetrainingandconsulting, the Ross family and the entire Lodestone Tribe for coming together to make this weekend happen. It really has become a “Tribal Reunion” and it was great spending time together, seeing old friends and making new ones. #lodestone #tribe #rucklife by @mossyforge

A number of years ago when I was going thru a rough patch; a Farmer and his wife took me in and gave me space to work when I had no where else to go. Not long after, His wonderful wife fell ill and God called her home. Time went on & over the years I became close with the Farmer and his family. Before I moved East I made a promise to him and his children to do something with this gift; this talent that I had been given…. This one’s for Jeanne- Wait for me in Heaven; I’m not done down here yet. #blacksmith #soulsteel #ashesoflove by @mossyforge

We really appreciate the support. There is still plenty of time to sign up. On September 19th you will start with a 8 mile ruck over various terrain with a minimum of 35 pounds. This will be followed by 10 stages, over roughly 2 more miles. They will include 3 rifle stages, fire starting stage, Tac med stage, and more. There is more to being a Light Fighter than just running and gunning.
For more information and to register for the Pennsylvania Light Fighter Challenge VI, go to the Lodestone Website. #lodestone #principlebasedtraining #lightfighter #lightfighterVI #lodestonetac by @mossyforge

We are just over a month out for the Sixth Annual Pennsylvania Light Fighter Challenge. On September 19th, you will be put to the test by doing roughly 10 miles of rucking and testing skills that every Light Fighter should know. After the first 8 miles, you will navigate between 10 different stages. As in the past, there will be rifle shooting, fire starting, and Tac Med stages this year. The other stages will be a mystery until the day of the Challenge. Some of the stages we’ve run in the past include: ax throw, climb, spear throw, land nav, SALUTE Report, lock picking, black powder rifle, stalking, obstacle course, knots, and more.
This is the perfect opportunity to get out with friends and test yourself.
Prizes have been generously donated by @mossyforge @geissele @truenorthconceptsllc @lawtactical @outcastwatch @huberwerksusa @gorilla_outfitters @vertx_official and others.
Yes, this is a competition, but it’s really a challenge against yourself. To sign up, go to the Lodestone website. #lodestone #principlebasedtraining #lightfighter #lightfighterVI #lodestonetac by @mossyforge

The @vertx_official 32L Gamut backpack is the most comfortable ruck pack I’ve used. Loaded with 36 lbs of gear it distributes weight well with zero break in. Super comfy right out of the box; it’s a great choice for a low vis load out. If you’re competing in the @lodestonetrainingandconsulting Light Fighter challenge coming up this September, I highly recommended considering the Vertex Gamut, as well as getting yourself and your gear prepared for the challenge. Speaking of challenges- the LTAC warrior ruck challenge ends tomorrow 7/26. Get out there and get your ruck on🔥 sign up on @lodestonetrainingandconsulting website the warrior path ruck is free to enter. #getyourruckon #rucklife #forgeyourownpath #forged by @mossyforge
