في قلب الغورية… فيه ريحة مستحيل تنساها!” ☕

من هنا بدأت حكاية بن الغورية للحاج عبد السلام البنان، أحد أقدم وأشهر محلات البن في مصر، بتاريخ يمتد لأكثر من 190 عامًا.

بيت السحيمي واحد من أجمل البيوت الأثرية في القاهرة الإسلامية، ويقع في قلب شارع المعز. بُني في القرن السابع عشر خلال العصر العثماني، وكان منزلًا لعائلة السحيمي، وهي من أشهر العائلات التجارية في ذلك الوقت. يتميز البيت بالمشربيات الخشبية، والفناء الداخلي، والنافورة، والتصميم الذكي اللي كان بيساعد على تهوية البيت وتلطيف الجو قبل وجود الكهرباء. واليوم، يعتبر بيت السحيمي من أفضل الأماكن اللي تقدر تتعرف فيها على شكل الحياة اليومية في القاهرة القديمة

‏This is Bayt Al-Suhaymi, one of the finest historic houses in Islamic Cairo, located in the heart of Al-Muizz Street. It was built in the 17th century during the Ottoman period and became the home of the Al-Suhaymi family, one of Cairo’s well-known merchant families. شارع المعز لدين الله الفاطمي مش مجرد شارع… ده أكبر متحف مفتوح للآثار الإسلامية في العالم. بدأ تاريخه مع تأسيس القاهرة الفاطمية سنة 969 ميلادية، وسُمّي على اسم الخليفة المعز لدين الله الفاطمي. يمتد الشارع من باب الفتوح شمالًا حتى باب زويلة جنوبًا، وعلى امتداده هتشوف آثار بتحكي أكتر من ألف سنة من تاريخ مصر الإسلامي
‎في شارع المعز هتلاقي روائع معمارية من عصور مختلفة، زي جامع الأقمر، مجموعة السلطان قلاوون، مدرسة ومسجد السلطان برقوق، قصر الأمير بشتاك، بيت السحيمي، ومجموعة السلطان الغوري، وكل مبنى فيهم ليه قصة مختلفة بتحكي عن الفاطميين، والأيوبيين، والمماليك، والعثمانيين.

‎الشارع مش بس آثار… ده كمان مليان بالحياة. هتلاقي الأسواق القديمة، والحرف اليدوية، وروائح القهوة الشرقية، والأجواء اللي بتخليك تحس إنك رجعت مئات السنين لورا. وكل خطوة هنا بتحكي حكاية من تاريخ القاهرة الإسلامية.

مدرسة السلطان الغوري | شارع المعز

“المكان ده مش مجرد مسجد… دي مدرسة السلطان الغوري، واحدة من آخر وأجمل تحف العصر المملوكي.

بناها السلطان قانصوه الغوري سنة 1503م، وكانت مخصصة لتعليم الفقه والحديث، واتبنت فوق محلات تجارية، وده كان تصميم مميز جدًا وقتها.

ولو بصيت حواليك هتلاقيها جزء من مجموعة الغوري الشهيرة، اللي فيها المسجد والقبة والسبيل والكتاب، وكلها بتعكس روعة العمارة الإسلامية.

والغريب في القصة إن السلطان الغوري بنى لنفسه قبة يدفن فيها، لكنه قُتل في معركة مرج دابق سنة 1516م، وما اتدفنش فيها أبدًا.

علشان كده المكان ده مش بس تحفة معمارية… ده شاهد على نهاية عصر المماليك في مصر

‏Sultan Al-Ghouri School | Al-Moez Street

‏“This place is not just a mosque... This is the Sultan Al-Ghoury School, one of the last and most beautiful masterpieces of the Mamluk era

‏It was built by Sultan Gansoh Al-Ghouri in 1503 AD, and it was dedicated to teaching jurisprudence and hadith, and it was adopted over commercial shops, and this was a very special design at the time

‏If you look around you, you will find it as part of the famous Al-Ghuri collection, which has the mosque, the dome, the way and the book, all of which reflect the splendor of Islamic architecture

‏The strange thing in the story is that the Sultan Al-Ghuri built himself a dome in which he was buried, but he was killed in the Battle of Marj Dabek in 1516 AD, and he was never buried in it.

مسجد الحاكم بأمر الله من أكبر وأهم المساجد الأثرية في القاهرة، ويقع في نهاية شارع المعز بجوار باب الفتوح. بدأ بناءه الخليفة الفاطمي العزيز بالله سنة 990م، لكن توفي قبل اكتماله، فأتمه ابنه الحاكم بأمر الله سنة 1013م. ويُعد ثاني أكبر مساجد القاهرة بعد مسجد أحمد بن طولون

في أول شارع المعز، جنب باب الفتوح، تعدي على مقام صغير من غير ما تاخد بالك… لكنه اسمه مقام سيدي الذوق
ويُقال إن سيدي الذوق عاش في العصر المملوكي، واشتهر بين الناس بحسن الخلق، وهدوء الطباع، والإصلاح بين المتخاصمين، لذلك ارتبط اسمه بـ”الذوق” والأدب وحسن المعاملة
ويُحكى أن سيدي الذوق خرج يومًا ليُصلح بين مجموعة من الناس المتخاصمين، لكنه لم يعد من رحلته. وبعد وفاته دُفن في هذا المكان، ليصبح مقامه شاهدًا على قصة ارتبطت بالإصلاح بين الناس وحسن الخلق At the beginning of Al-Moez Street, next to Bab Al-Futuh, you encroach on a small maqam without taking care of you... But it is called the shrine of the master of taste
It is said that the master of taste lived in the Mamluk era, and became famous among people for good manners, calmness of character, and reform among the quarrelers, so his name was associated with “taste”, literature and good treatment
It is said that the master of taste went out one day to reconcile a group of quarreling people, but he did not return from his journey.
