Steve Jobs pulled a laptop out of an envelope and rewrote product marketing overnight.

Follow @mostlyhumour for more such tech history moments.

On 15 January 2008 at Macworld in San Francisco, Steve Jobs saved the MacBook Air for the end of his keynote and slid it out of a standard manila envelope. The point was simple: at 0.16 inches at its thinnest and 0.76 inches at its thickest, Apple’s new notebook was thinner than the envelope most offices used for mail.

He called it the world’s thinnest notebook, held it up on his fingertips, and let the crowd feel the wedge for themselves. Starting at $1,799, it had a 13.3-inch screen, a full-size keyboard, and no optical drive — a stunt that turned thinness into the product’s entire story.

Live television is the ultimate trap for unscripted chaos! 😂📺

Follow @mostlyhumour for more hilarious news fails and unhinged broadcast moments!

This compilation rounds up some of the most iconic and accidental live news blunders caught on camera. It kicks off with an anchor on NBC 12 accidentally reading "check your panties" instead of pantries on a teleprompter, leaving his co-anchor completely unable to contain her laughter in the background. Up next, a weather reporter experiences a massive heat map graphics glitch displaying McKinney, Texas at a scorching 101,105 degrees, leading him to deadpan that "everyone in McKinney is dead".

The reel wraps up with a local news anchor attempting to present an official police sketch of a robbery suspect wanted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. When the graphic comes up as a comically simple hand-drawn doodle, the presenter tries his best to maintain professional composure while pointing out obvious features like the suspect's nose and hair, resulting in pure awkward broadcast comedy.

Jon Taffer’s most justified meltdown ever 🍄🚫

Follow @mostlyhumour for more such reality TV chaos & valid crashouts

In this iconic Bar Rescue moment, Jon Taffer discovers a massive cluster of mold looking like full-grown mushrooms sprouting right on the wall of the walk-in cooler. The on-screen graphic immediately labels it “HEALTH CODE VIOLATION #14” as he loses it, yelling and physically guiding the owner away from the toxic growth.

People compare Gordon Ramsay’s intensity to this and call Taffer the real demon — but most agree this crashout was 100% valid. Serving food and drinks next to something that dangerous is a serious public health risk, and Taffer wasn’t about to let it slide.

When you set a trap, fall right into it, and realize there’s zero recovery! 💀🔄

Follow @mostlyhumour for more classic talk show savage moments and pure chaos!

In this iconic throwback from The Jerry Springer Show, an audience member attempts to roast a guest on stage by asking him to turn around for everyone to see. As soon as he complies, she delivers her punchline, calling him "a man who gives true meaning to the word redneck," drawing cheers and laughs from the crowd.

However, the guest wasn’t about to let it slide and instantly flipped the script on her. He asked her to stand up and spin around in the same fashion, and the moment she did, he countered with, "There's the real meaning of a dumb b****". Realizing she walked right into her own setup, she immediately surrendered with a laugh, admitting, "I got no comeback".

When you mistake a courtroom for a red carpet catwalk. 👠🤦‍♀️

Follow @mostlyhumour for more courtroom comedy and iconic TV moments!

In this unforgettable Divorce Court appearance, a litigant confidently proclaims to the bench, "Your Honor, I am the Paris Hilton of Toledo." Dressed in denim daisy dukes, a pink tank top, and sunglasses on her head, she fully owns the look, insisting to the court that she looks good.

Judge Lynn Toler was not about to let the fashion statement slide without a reality check. Interrupting the plaintiff, she directly questioned her outfit choice for a legal proceeding, reminding her that while looking good is one thing, "appropriate is what you go for in a court"—earning instant applause from the gallery.

The 2000s media was really obsessed with pitting female pop stars against each other. 💀

Follow @mostlyhumour for more nostalgic pop culture moments & throwback content!

This clip is from a late 2000s ABC News "What's the Buzz" segment featuring a teenage Selena Gomez. During the height of Disney Channel's golden era, the media constantly fueled rumors of a bitter feud between Selena and Miley Cyrus, largely driven by their shared spotlight and both having dated Nick Jonas around that time.

In the interview, the anchor directly confronts Selena with the on-screen headline "Miley & Selena: Friend or Foe?" Despite being so young, Selena handled the awkward question with pure class, shutting down the manufactured drama and clarifying that there was no bad blood between them—a classic look at how relentless celebrity gossip culture used to be.
