Another legend has left us 🕊️🤍✨

Dolly Parton has been such a familiar part of my life for as long as I can remember. My Dad absolutely loved her, Mum did too, and I have such a clear memory of watching ‘9 to 5’ with them as a kid 🎬🥹

I can still remember the music playing in our lounge room every morning when I got up, with Dolly’s voice often coming through the radio 🎶🤍 And ‘Here You Come Again’ will always be one of my favourites 🎵🥹

There’s something so sad about losing someone whose music & movies are woven into memories of your childhood and your family. I can’t help but think Mum & Dad will be happy to see her up there 😢✨🤍🦋✨

Thank you for the memories Dolly 🫶🏻 What a beautiful legacy you leave behind 🥹✨🕊️

I still can’t quite believe I found myself being interviewed LIVE on @abcbrisbane Radio about the passing of Australian television legend Johnny Young. 🎙️💔

I was walking past Kat Feeney’s ‘Afternoons’ show on 612 ABC Brisbane when I heard the news that Johnny had passed away, and suddenly I was talking about someone and something that had been such a huge part of my childhood, and of the childhoods of so many Australians who grew up with his iconic television show, ‘Young Talent Time’. 🇦🇺✨

For anyone outside Australia, ‘Young Talent Time’ was a hugely popular Australian television variety show that ran for 17 years. For me, every Saturday night was spent watching YTT. I saw the show live at Boondall Entertainment Centre when Mum took a group of my primary school friends and me to see them, then again at Expo ’88, and I even attended Johnny Young Talent School for singing and dancing lessons on Saturdays. ❤️🎶

Hearing the news brought back such a flood of memories… of being a kid, of Mum & Dad 🤍, of my friends and of such a special time in our lives. 🥹

And somehow, after being asked completely unexpectedly to share those memories LIVE on air 🙈🎙️, I managed to hold back the tears. 🥹❤️ Kat, Loretta & Jay were so kind, supportive and encouraging. ☺️

What a huge loss for so many Australians who grew up with ‘Young Talent Time’. Thank you Johnny, for being such a magical part of our childhoods. So ‘Goodnight Australia’… I was a huge fan. ⭐️❤️🇦🇺✨

I’ve been making this combination lately and honestly.. it’s SO good! 🍍🍏🥬

Banana + spinach + kale + lemon + apple + cucumber + pineapple + apple juice, then milk or juice depending on the consistency I feel like.
