Summer of 14ers: flipped the script and shot the plot this July… leading to the completion of 8 more of Colorado’s highest peaks (now up to 40 total). Gotta love when a lil goal evolves into a full on obsession!

After a very turbulent year both emotionally and physically, I decided to use my meniscus removal surgery on May 21st as inspiration to reframe and refocus on what makes me shine. I had no clue what the path forward looked like and I just hoped I could maybe get one fourteener in by the autumn. Things obviously progressed much quicker than I expected, and I’m writing this post to inspire those reading to get out of that mental rut and get outside and get uncomfortable and climb some shit. Growth happens along the sides of mountains, not at their peak.

Also since we love our stats, and I added mine up and it kinda blew my mind, here is my total over the last month… a bunch of weekends spent sleeping my car and checking mountain forecast multiple times a day.

July 12 - Aug 8:

A few quick glimpses from our trip to Oregon. Total fascination moving between spring skiing, old growth forests and rocky coastlines.

Wanted to remember this adventure socially in some format, but as I was making this post I realized how much these pictures mean to me and probably not much to others. So I just selected a couple that make me smile…almost like a little digital scrapbook. Really, it was too much to go through and sort out properly.

All I wanna say is follow your dreams and keep them close to your heart. Stay present. I remember first getting into park skiing and watching all the dope spring/summer edits at Timberline, and to finally get some time skiing Hood was a huge check off the bucket list.

Also Sasquatch is real
