I got a spontaneous “I’m nearby, wanna eat” text from @jillventures this weekend and suddenly found myself surrounded by beautiful flowers, fusilli, a Keith Haring and more dessert than I could imagine.

The focal point + some behind-the-scenes shots 🌵✨

We rented these beautiful, character-filled old cacti for the event and had to get creative with the staging. We had to find ways to make them feel like a natural part of the design while keeping every plant safe and undisturbed in its original pot.

We went all out for this party. It was. Route 66 theme for a 66 year old birthday party. 300 cacti were used to make it happen.

My client shared with me a photo album of 67 flowers. These flowers were all a part of her mother's garden. I wanted to bring these pictures to life with a mix of in season florals and foliage from that photo album, to commemorate an incredible woman who loved her garden.

Thank you to @sloatsburgnursery for helping make this possible
