Our last family photo for a little while. 🥹

Kahu has flown our Little Rock and headed to the Mainland for Uni. Ballarat, you are about to gain an amazing young human. You may not be ready for his integrity, his commitment, his energy, but when you meet him, he will bring so many qualities into your lives and community.

Automobile, boat, train, bus and plane to take 40 hours of settling him into his Uni dorm room, his new Rugby team with Rugby training the same night we arrived. Thank you @ballaratrugby for the sausage sizzle after training. From listening to the banter and laughter during training, he is in great hands.

A trip to the wonderful @sovereignhill. My last visit here I was in my mid 20’s well before children. 🥰. Now taking my 20yr old there was humbling and of course fun.

Dearest Kahu,

I hope you are excited about your choice Bub. I think you are incredibly brave and it also shows that level of maturity that you are known for. It makes me so very proud. 🥰

I can’t actually believe that this day has come. That my first born has left home to chase his dreams. ❤️

The firstborn is always overwhelming for a new mum. From the moment you arrived, I felt this incredible responsibility to protect, nurture and guide something so precious and vulnerable. It has been the greatest privilege of my life.

Now I look at you - mature beyond your years - chop tackler - rugby beast - chasing dreams - setting the bar high and going for it.

I know you have got this and you will never look back, but, whenever you need me, I am here. Always! There is always a home for you with me, where ever I am.

I will always be your biggest advocate. I will always be proud, even if you fail 100 times throughout your life that I hope I get to see.

I feel so privileged that you chose me as your Mum. I hope that I have done everything I could have to help you prepare for your launch into life. 🙏🏽❤️

We, your siblings and your beautiful @danshibali_ will miss you terribly. My grocery bill won’t. 😁

I love you dearly Kahu. You have got this! 👊🏽.
