Are yall like me and always on the hunt for weird art made by actual humans and not ai? I still have some prints and stickers left over from Queerfest! Still working on an online shop (if yall have suggestions that aren’t Etsy lmk!) but these are available to order through my DMs for now.

Both sizes of Baba Yallga (the mosnter Waffle House) are nearly sold out, but I still have a few large prints and minis. All the stickers are weather resistant and (according to the printers) dishwasher safe for water bottles, plus the luna moths and caterpillars have a holographic reflection that’s super cute and throws rainbows 🌈

It’s been 79 days since I held Icky for the last time. It’s still so raw. How could 3 months have gone by? I’m really deep in the trenches emotionally, I think the arthritis flare and *still* not having access to my medication isn’t helping.

It’s painful to use my hands but I did shaky render of him today. I cried the whole about the unfairness of it all. I think it helped. The rest are other art I’ve made of him over the years. by @mothraluna

Oh to be a caterpillar munching a leaf. This week has been so…much. It’s 5:30 am and I’m waiting for the remnants another hurricane to blow through Appalachia. My body is screaming. Hopefully it’ll blow through faster than expected 🫡

Fun fact: there are over forty species of semi aquatic moth, and their caterpillars can and do swim! It’s likely there are many more. There’s even a newly described wasp species that exclusively hunts aquatic caterpillars.

There are some non aquatic moths that can “swim” on the surface of the water by shimmying along the surface tension. Wooly bears are one of them, but luna caterpillars are not.

‪Due to an insurance error, I have been unable to receive treatment for my autoimmune arthritis. I was supposed to go this morning, but three hours before my scheduled arthritis infusion I got a call that my insurers are (a)claiming the treatment was no longer medically necessary (b) somehow got a refund for my last two treatments and (c) on paper I now owe the office $29,000 and therefore I cannot receive my treatment today. ‬

‪Right now, my immune system is attacking all of my connective tissues and potentially my organs. The pain is excruciating, like broken glass in my joints. But sure, its not “medically necessary”🥲‬

‪We *think* we have the issue corrected, but it could be days or weeks before I can receive my treatment and start feeling relatively ok again.‬

‪I’m going to try work behind the chair as much as physically possible, but I need to sell some art to supplement my income. I still have a solid stock of prints and stickers available along with some taxidermy pieces coming soon to my favorite coffee shop.‬

‪All art is hand drawn by me on procreate. The giclee prints are printed on acid free fine art paper, and the stickers are water/uv resistant (perfect for indoor and outdoor use)‬
