Behold what material delights await those brave enough to venture to the merch desk on Saturday. We have every shape of shirt we can think of (it’s only three, we prefer a 19th Century garibaldi blouse ourselves), we have a suite of brand new badges, large and slightly less large, and we have brand new patches. Joining our array of artefacts for the first time is what you mortals call a ‘’baby tee’’ with our brand new Cursed Coffin design. Perfect for romantic walks in a moonlit forest or an elegant feasting, it’s sure to delight the senses. Especially for this show is a brand new long sleeve dedicated to ‘The Vampire and Her Lover’ featuring a decadent gravestone print and gravestone carvings and their symbolism cascading down the sleeves. We hear you mortals like to contemplate the fleeting nature of your lives, so this should help. A memento mori for the modern age, if you will. And of course, who could forget our delightful new Medieval Toys short sleeve. Featuring a handful of our favourite implements to frolic with in a dusty castle. Those were the days. We have a selection of new patches to match, a beautiful bone saw, a mighty mace and a sparkling scythe. As ever, hand printed by The Twink of Darkness. All this and more will be available across the lake of fire, through the swinging pendulums, over the viper’s nest and past the guards armed with riddles at SOUP this Saturday evening. Come prepared, for everything has a price. Just in your human pounds though, no one can afford a blood sacrifice these days. Doors are at 7pm, dear mothlings, the darkness grows ever closer. Fear not the night, but the part of you that calls to it. This is an official LOW TICKET WARNING too if you haven’t already get your tickets now !! *EDIT - TICKET LINK NOW WORKING AGAIN!* AFTERLIGHT — SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT Six more artists join Afterlight, taking us from gothic rock’s first generation into the strange, theatrical and electronic edges of its modern evolution. 1919 — SATURDAY HEADLINER Formed in Bradford in 1980, 1919 remain a formidable force in gothic post-punk. Urgent, abrasive and politically charged, they return to West Yorkshire to headline Saturday night. MOTH SLUT Manchester deathrock for creatures of the night. Moth Slut combine darkwave atmosphere, gothic drama and romantic decay in a seductive, unapologetically dark live performance. BLACK BORDELLO London’s Black Bordello fuse theatrical art-rock, macabre storytelling and Sienna Bordello’s commanding soprano. Think Kate Bush, Siouxsie and PJ Harvey refracted through a feverish gothic cabaret. BYRONIC SEX & EXILE The project of Goth City founder Joel Heyes reconnects gothic music with its romantic and revolutionary roots. Brooding post-punk, dark folk and literary storytelling delivered with theatrical passion. A MURDER OF CROWS A compelling new band emerging from Hull’s alternative underground. Dark, atmospheric and emotionally charged, they bring brooding textures and a gathering sense of menace. MOTHER SUSPIRIA Manchester duo Mother Suspiria blend gothic rock and post-punk with shadowy electronics. Intertwined vocals, guitar and keyboards create music filled with cinematic tension and melancholy. Six further artists will be revealed in the coming months. AFTERLIGHT 22–23 May 2027 Amped, Huddersfield Weekend tickets: £52 + booking fees 14+ | Under 18s with a parent or guardian Tickets available through Eventbrite. Link in bio. Limited 10% discount early birds running to Oct 30th. #goth #gothfestival #gothsofinstagram #westyorkshiregoth taken in Amped by @mothslut
