Monday: please ask how my weekend was.

There’s a lot of life that happens that never makes it into a photo, a conversation, or an Instagram post. Lately, there have been a lot of things happening behind the scenes that have changed the way I look at my time, my energy, and what I want to make room for.

I’m learning that changing with it doesn’t mean losing who you were. Sometimes it means making room for who you’re becoming. And maybe we don’t have to have every part of it figured out before we let ourselves enjoy what’s still good.

So, get outside. Make the plans. Go somewhere you’ve never been. Sit around a table with people who know you. Let yourself laugh when you feel like laughing. Let the people who love you show up for you, and remember to show up for them, too.

There will always be things we’re carrying that other people can’t see. That doesn’t mean we have to put life on hold. There’s still time for good days, new places, changing seasons, and people who make things feel a little lighter. I think it’s worth making room for all of it. by @motionbyamanda

I’m leaving #montereycarweek with a completely new perspective, a head full of ideas, and more inspiration than I know what to do with.
These past few days have been truly life-changing. I came here hoping to see incredible cars and learn from the people shaping this industry, but I’m leaving with so much more - new connections, new perspectives, new inspiration, and an even stronger belief in where I want to go.

I’m incredibly honored to share that I was selected as a 2026 Phil Hill Scholarship recipient. Being recognized through the @pebblebeachconcours is something I’m deeply grateful for. The opportunities, mentorship, and support this scholarship provides will have a lasting impact on my journey into automotive design, and I’m incredibly excited for what comes next.

A huge thank you to all of my professors and everyone at @academy_of_art who continues to believe in me, challenge me, and push me toward becoming the designer I want to be. And to my incredibly talented and supportive classmates - thank you for making this trip even more unforgettable. Getting to experience this week alongside people who are just as passionate about design made it that much more special.

And to everyone I met throughout #CarWeek who took the time to talk with me, teach me something, share a story, answer a question, or simply make me feel welcome - thank you. Every conversation reminded me that this industry is built just as much on the people as it is on the cars. Although, let’s be honest, we’ll use just about any excuse to talk about cars.

Connections with people are priceless. Inspiration from people is limitless.

I came to Car Week looking for inspiration.

It’s strange knowing you’re about to live through a moment you’ve spent so much of your life working toward.

For once, I have a little time to stop, look around, and really think about how I got here. The work I’ve put in over the last few years, and the work I’ve been putting in for most of my life without even knowing where it would lead me.

There’s still so much I don’t know. So much I need to learn. And I know there will be plenty more moments where I question whether I’m good enough, whether I belong here, or whether I’m capable of making it in a field this difficult.

But then I have to remember how far I’ve come.

I’ve had people believe in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. People who saw something in me before I was able to see it in myself. And somehow, through all the doubt, the setbacks, the late nights, and the moments where I wanted to question everything, I’ve continued moving forward.

I genuinely can’t see myself doing anything else.

So as I step into this next chapter, I’m allowing myself to appreciate the moment—but not get comfortable in it.

Now it’s time to lock in.

Get my shit done. Take on the challenge. Learn more. Fail better. Keep pushing. And earn every moment that comes next.

Car design is hard. I know there will be more doubt, more rejection, and more moments that test me. But I’m not backing down. I know how badly I want this, and I know I will succeed.

Now enough with the existential reflection. I’ve got cars to design, Car Week to survive, and a few people at Mazda or McLaren to convince that they should probably hire me.
