People asked me if I got my bike going. The answer is: of course.

Friday night, home from tour, spending the evening with my Singer. 😏

Before anyone gets too excited, I’m shortening a guitar strap. 😂

If you ever wondered what a touring rock musician does when he’s home, here’s one answer.

Rock ’n’ roll never stops. It just occasionally requires a sewing machine. 🤘

Every shop told me the bike was too old, so I bought a lift and pulled the rear wheel myself. A lot of fighting, even more cursing, but it’s off and getting a new tire tomorrow.

Old bike. Stubborn owner, working tirelessly 😉. One more thing handled. 🏍️ by @motnik

What better way to spend a frosty Sunday evening than recording with one of your best friends? Laid down a track with @nickyv_music for another www.NashvilleTracking.com client. Because that’s how we roll! Afterwards I got a hug from the cutest blonde - Nicky V’s little daughter. Can’t get much better than that. by @motnik

It’s always a joy to play with some of these exceptional musicians Nashvillle has to offer. Tonight I played another great session spearheaded by my dear friend @nickyv_music on guitar, my first session with keyboardist extraordinaire @wiltone_productions, and studio owner and the new drummer for Christopher Cross, @weslittledrums_weslove. We offer you the opportunity to record your own music with the legendary Nashville sound: check out www.NashvilleTracking.com for your songs! by @motnik

Fun friday night with these fools. At letter X we also have the “Toms of Sadness.” The @pearl_drums travel bongos are making an appearance as well!

First few photos from the Vegas Rocks Music Awards. Arrived here with my dear friend and drumming partner Peter Dallas, a green room hang shot with Michael Anthony, a sneak peak at the awards, and signing some posters and guitars. Now waiting for the show to start. taken in Las Vegas, Nevada by @motnik

Vegas tonight. Rock royalty, loud guitars, and I get to present an award to one of the people who helped us hear all of it. 🤘

Very happy to be part of Sally Steele’s 8th Vegas Rocks! Magazine Music Awards tonight in Las Vegas, alongside an incredible lineup of musicians, artists and friends.

I’ll also have the honor of presenting the Outstanding Technical Achievement Award to Jerry Harvey, a true pioneer of in-ear monitoring whose work helped transform the way musicians hear themselves onstage.

As a German, I’m obviously excited anytime somebody lets me talk about technology. 😂 As a musician who spends a lot of time on screaming-loud stages, this one is especially meaningful.

Looking forward to a great night. See you there! 🤘🎸

Not a bad way to wrap up a great week in Las Vegas! 😎

At the Sphere tonight to see the Eagles with Money Concepts Director John Adams, after a productive and inspiring week at the Council of Presidents conference.

Lots of great conversations, new ideas, and things to take home with me. But for tonight, we’re putting business aside and enjoying some legendary music! 🎶

I’ve been wanting to experience a show at the Sphere, and judging by the view from our seats, this is going to be something else.

Time for the Eagles! 🤘🦅

TL;DR: I’m doing a bass clinic! 🎸🤘

Well, this should be fun! 😎

Save the date: Saturday, January 23, 2027.

I’ll be doing a bass clinic, talking bass, playing bass, sharing some of the things I’ve learned from years of recording and touring, and probably telling a few stories I shouldn’t. 😅

More details to come, but for now, mark your calendars!

Who’s coming? 🤘

Thanks to Ron Mesh and the @duneroomindio for having me, and to Jimmy Palmer at @111guitars for the connection.
