ELONGATED TIME. OUT TODAY. ELONGATED TIME is about trauma, heartbreak, past loves, and what happens when experiences and memories begin to live on a loop inside the brain. It explores the difficult process of acknowledging those loops, embracing them, sometimes even romanticizing them, while also feeling haunted - or terrified - by the fact that they’re still there. Written and produced by @mottronmusic & I, I’m excited for you to listen to my final single of 2026. My EP, A Necessary Breaking, will be out in January 2027, though for now, listen to TENDERNESS, FORGIVENESS, POISONOUS CHILD & ELONGATED TIME wherever you listen to music. POISONOUS CHILD ft @theblckbutterfly & @coldpressedpapi is here for your listening pleasure. I first wrote Poisonous Child in 2025 and completed an early version that leaned much further into experimental production and structure. Even though I liked where it was going, I remember feeling like it still wasn’t fully capturing the emotional experience I was trying to express. That ended up being a really important lesson in trusting my instincts, accepting that a song isn’t always finished when you think it is, and giving myself permission to step away. When I started working with MOTTRON, we spent a lot of time talking about what the song was really trying to say. I knew I wanted to explore the tension between anger as both a poison and an antidote; something that can consume you while also revealing what needs to heal. MOTTRON helped bring that idea to life by grounding those emotions in a sense of movement and joy, creating a song that invites you to dance while confronting something much heavier underneath. I’m really proud of how the song evolved. The process wasn’t perfect. It was messy, full of revisions, and emotionally demanding. But I think that honesty became part of the song itself.
