Dear friends in Nouvelle-Galles de Sud, I'm playing a special show with Mary next week at the AGNSW in front of her mega tile drawing work (part of the Dobell Drawing Biennale). Sure to be the best backdrop we'll ever perform against! Hope to see some of you there :) by @mouldmuseum

Their new album, The Limits of a Light Touch, is the first release on their own imprint, Dearest Latest, following albums for several beacons of the global underground, including Night School, A Colourful Storm, Discreet Music, among others.
TLOALT finds Troth approaching a sideways pop music perhaps more directly than ever before, expanding on an approach intrinsic to their DNA; immersion in nature, a constantly shifting dialogue with each other and a strong commitment to sustaining a vital global DIY community.
This is communicated through a refined musical language that blends ambient-pop, wired-folk, blurry trip hop slows and dubbed experimentalism.
They are excited to return to Eastmint, one of the warmest and most welcoming DIY spaces in so-called Australia. Early World (Naarm / Melbourne) Early World is a new project by Francis Plagne and Mary MacDougall.
Tender pop music bent out of shape with strange harmonies and puzzling production choices, touches of absurdity. James Rushford will guest on the keys.
Francis has released recordings on labels such as Horn of Plenty, Black Truffle, Kye Records, Penultimate Press and his own Mould Museum imprint.
Mary has released recordings with MP Hopkins as Warm Currency on Horn of Plenty and with MP Hopkins and Christopher Schueler as The Bowles on Kye Records. J.McFarlane (Tarntanya / Adelaide) J.McFarlane is an Adelaide based project of J by @mouldmuseum
Very pleased that some copies of Asleep in a beached boat are now in Oz. This is a reissue of a tape I half-released in 2021, now on vinyl courtesy of the great @blickwinkel.be with new artwork from Jelle Martens and a Giotto detail postcard from the same scanning session as the cover of the Refrain. 11 short pieces. It's perhaps my silliest record, though there is some competition! Copies at @naturestriprecords_naarm soon by @mouldmuseum
blickwinkel welcomes composer and multi-instrumentalist Francis Plagne to the label with a reissue of Asleep in a beached boat, an album that was initially released on his own Mould/Mouse Museum label in 2021 on cassette. The album was mostly given away to friends but now gets a wider release through a limited vinyl and digital edition on May 10.

Gentle melodies set an airy atmosphere and are intertwined with tensive dialogues between rhythms and textures coming from a wide array of acoustic and electronic instruments. Stylistically somewhere in between his Rural Objects (Hobbies Galore/Black Truffle) and Udge (Horn of Plenty), on the eleven tracks on this album we hear Plagne in his most playful way to date. @mouldmuseum @jelle_martens_ by @mouldmuseum

Very pleased to say that 'Into Closed Air' is out today! Thanks to @bisonrecs, @dennistyfus, @collecteddust_, @good.mixture, @james.p.rushford, @marianancy, @hobbies.galore, @scott.mcconnachie and Neil Kelly (and others I'm probably forgetting) for helping to make it happen by @mouldmuseum
Francis Plagne and Warm Currency play Tempo Rubato on Saturday, December 2nd. Join us for an evening of extended song and woozy tape-muck. Tickets in the bio by @mouldmuseum
Francis Plagne returns to the songcraft that’s been the bedrock of his music since his debut, 2006’s Idle Bones. If you were a fan of Tenth Volume of Maps or Funeral Mutes this one is defo for you. Super long songs recall post Soft Machine Robert Wyatt and Kevin Ayers, but Into Closed Air also hints at something new - Plagne mentions Kenny Wheeler’s Gnu High and Eberhard Weber’s Silent Feet as significant reference points. A taste for jazz, an embrace of expanse and unabashed beauty!! Collaborators and conspiritors include @james.p.rushford, Maria Moles, Alex Macfarlane, Neil Kelly and Scott McConnachie, with artwork for this one from Dennis Tyfus. Up for preorder today and in the shops / your arms in a coupla weeks 😙 orders@centralbazaar.org for distro info@bisonrecords for promos by @mouldmuseum
