With one challenge ending it's time to start two more! I recently completed all the Welsh Nuttalls. Next up I will taking on the Wainwright's with @rachel.l.murphy and English Nuttalls at the same time! I'll make a post per peak as I go, so plenty more to see here! Can't wait for more exploring!

I began my hiking challenge 4 years ago when my partner bought me a list of all the mountains in Wales. It's been an amazing experience and I can't imagine my life without hiking now!

Taking my colleague to lose his wild camp virginity on an isolated mountain in the middle of Wales... 🏕️☁️🤷‍♂️

We spent almost the entire hike up walking through total whiteout fog. Zero views, zero visibility, just grey cloud in every direction for hours. But we stuck it out, pitched the tents near Llyn Pen Aran, and we certainly weren't expecting it to be this spectacular. Just as we went up camp for the night the cloud finally settled just below us, creating a stunning cloud inversion. Welcome to the addiction!

Hiking reward unlocked. 🗺️🔓Found the ultimate spot to cool down after a long day on the fells. There is nothing quite like wild swimming to make you feel alive! 🌊
Safe to say it was needed after a whole day of hiking in 30 degrees!

Any wild swim spot you would recommend while I complete the Wainwrights?

This spot is not far from the peak of Skiddaw, if you look at the map it's the first black dot after Bakestall. There were lots of pools here and plenty of space to get your own spot!

☀️ The views from the summit of Skiddaw were absolutely breathtaking, and we got so lucky with the visibility. We also bagged Skiddaw Little Man on the way up too.
Have you ticked Skiddaw off your list yet?.... It's surely worth a visit!?

A lovely couple took this photo of us at the summit of Carlside. If you look closely you can see Derwentwater and Keswick in the background. We had perfect weather that day with an amazing view!

We used Skiddaw via dash falls circular route from AllTrails to complete this route. There was a fairly decent amount of free parking at the bottom.

A few static frames from a 12-mile circular across the Dales. ⛰️🌅

Bagged Fountains Fell and Darnbrook Fell first, slogged across to Plover Hill, and ended up on Pen-y-ghent just as the sun was dropping. Not a bad way to finish the walk 😏

What’s your preferred route up Pen-y-ghent? Taking the steep southern scramble or looping it from the north via Plover Hill? 👇
