Three years ago I started hiking because I wanted to explore. Somewhere along the way, the mountains became much more than a destination—they became a passion.

This page is where I’ll share that journey as I continue growing into mountaineering. From training days and alpine starts to scrambles, summits, and everything in between, this is about embracing the process and never stopping the pursuit of the next peak.

Couldn’t ask for more with a full service day in Ouray, S/O @tiosbmx for making it happen, and our other homie for being an off-road assassin 🙌. Sometimes the best mountain days are the ones you didn’t plan for.

Due to missing the reservation window for the Wave Traverse in RMNP, @just_joenic and I made an audible to a lower-elevation objective on Lumpy Ridge — and it ended up being an incredible day.

We worked our way through the trees with plenty of bushwhacking, found some boulder problems along the way, caught an amazing sunrise, and even came across some wildlife.

Eventually, we made our way up to the ridge and finished above the Sundance Buttress and the Needles, where the views completely made the day.

This day definitely changed my perspective on lower-elevation objectives. You don’t always need to chase a high summit to get a full mountain experience. Still finishing at 11 miles 3,400, with all the above there wasn’t much left to be desired.
