The 2026 season was nothing short of a dream. We had enough stupid new ideas to kill the business three times over, but every corner of the team went absolutely all-in and came out the other side different humans. We couldn’t be more proud of every person who made this dream come to fruition. Thank you all.

We had no idea how it was going to go, trying to pull off a live broadcast for all categories and all racers in our first-ever race season. Was it logistically feasible? There was only one way to find out, since none of us had ever run a race before.

And then, of course, we obviously 💅 needed an iOS and Android app to distribute the content from the live broadcast and photographers. Duh 🙄. One small problem… none of us had ever built an app before. Better get to work kid (shawn looks at himself in the mirror and squints)

It’s funny how much easier it is to wake up and go all-in when you absolutely love what you do. Thank you to every family and racer who showed up and supported us this year. You enabled us to go after a dream and take a stab at seeing if we could leave this sport in a better place than we found it. A special shoutout needs to go to @joshuabespencin for leading out the broadcast team, we couldn’t have done this without you brother.

We can’t wait to see what 2027 brings for this sport. These are truly exciting times, seeing downhill come alive and the global spotlight coming back to the Rockies as World Cups and World Champs approach here in Colorado.

Here’s to going after more crazy ideas in 2027 with you guys 👊

Things where looking green for a second there… 😩
Top splits showed the speed I knew I had all weekend, the crash was unlucky and is a part of the game. I’m just lucky to be walking away healthy and ready to reset knowing the pace is there

Big Congrats to @shawnneer and @mountainstatescup Team this series is going places and I look forward to returning next year for redemption 😤

What a trip! When I heard the @mountainstatescup was back and the final round was at @skipurg I knew I would be there. I didn’t expect to be racing but, the stars aligned and found the perfect DH bike just two weeks before the event.

In my run, I made a slight mistake just before the live video feed and was sure my time was garbage. I managed to keep it clean from there down and cross the line in P1. Surprisingly my time held until the last man down @cody.wilderman got me by a couple of seconds.

Such a great time, I am blown away by the production at these races. All of the footage above was delivered direct from the event in their app. Watching the big screen at the bottom for the remaining racers with @cammccaul & @madhaderer on the mic was a treat!

Big shout out to everyone involved and especially @shawnneer for bringing MSC back!

Props to @richwsol_photography for the excellent images! 📸

The dirt was about as good as it gets at Purg thanks to daily thunderstorms.

THAT’S A WRAP ON PURGATORY 🤘🏽

The 2026 Mountain States Cup season went out exactly how it should: fast, rowdy and with everything on the line.

Round 4 brought the series finale to Purgatory Resort in Durango, CO, with racers taking on the legendary World Cup downhill track and battling it out for the final podiums and overall titles. Four rounds. One hell of a season.

Huge congrats to everyone who raced, landed on the podium, chased points, took some dirt home with them and kept showing up all season.

And a massive thank you to the Mountain States Cup crew, Purgatory, volunteers, racers, families and everyone who stopped by the SEND IT setup and made this weekend such a good one.

We came to support downhill. We left ready for more.
