I’ve been blessed to do this, to create, to write, to perform music. I’ve worked with legendary producers, artists, and opened up for them on their tours. I’ve heard my song on the radio, performed on the news, and collaborated with my hero’s. I’ve been fortunate enough to have some rockstar moments, make it out alive, and go back to life as usual. Everything I have now I’ve always wanted. But to say it hasn’t taken a toll would be a lie, once you get a glimpse behind the curtains, the magic can become a little less magical. You see the flaws, the fake, the hunger and thirst for validation, money, power, ego, how your hero’s and the rooms that you thought were so pristine aren’t exactly flawless. You see all the dents in the armor. You see the ones you thought had it all figured out are just like you and I, human. You see how some ppl move when they want something, the disingenuous actions to unlock new levels, the want to be seen and heard, the temptation to let yourself down just to compete, the corruption and artists selling you lies in exchange for your views and likes, the empty promises and schemes. All of this always felt so far from home yet so easy to get caught up in if you’re not careful. I’ve also seen the good, the real, the honest, the incredible moments and exchanges of love, when all you can feel is the music and the pureness of it, there’s no high that competes with that truth. And I think within both of those worlds (the good and bad) lies the battle. A battle to stay true but also give yourself grace when you slip up. A battle to understand you’re always where you’re meant to be and wrong roads often lead to the right ones. A battle to never forget where you come from. That failure is growth in that it gives you wisdom which is worth the lesson. You don’t have to know it all or be something you’re not. You do it bc you love to do it and the memories you make from it are yours forever. The only thing you need to do is trust. Trust your timing, it’s uniquely your own. This is a shot I've been wanting to do for a while. A moving hanging mic doesn't sound too complicated at first, but when you're working out of the back of an equinox, it's not easy 😅

A little knowledge of gaffing and janky rigging made it possible!

We got a lot of head turns when driving this rig through the neighborhood, but I'm really stoked with how it turned out.

Thanks to @rynscottmusic for putting in way more miles than he ever expected to in one video shoot.
