It took me awhile to realize grief wasn’t playing dirty. I was navigating monumental and painful changes (and always will be.) Looking back, grief was providing me nudges, guardrails and growth opportunities. It helped me set boundaries with myself with my other relationships. I was a Zombie. I withdrew from friendships.

My inbox and home office were a mess.

I polluted my body with bad food and alcohol.

I sat next to my spouse at night watching TV while scrolling on my phone — but I wasn’t really present with any of it.

I was burned out and stuck in a doom loop.
