Lil chunk from a super fun gig last night

Hello dearest peeps,

🎃Happy Halloween 🎃!!

I’m super stoked to share the beautifully imaginative animated video made by Derek Barber (AKA @perhapsymusic ) for ‘Showmen’ from the new Dirty Snacks Ensemble album, “You Would Do Well”.

Watch it in full on YouTube [link in bio]

Derek has an incredible mind and I was so glad that he was willing to make a piece for this track. Here is what he has to say about his process:

“I really resonated with the mood, syncopations, sounds, and lyrics of Mark’s song. As a musician, it’s interesting to think about what we do as performers — standing on a stage ‘bathed in bright lights.’ It’s kind of a mysterious thing – equally mysterious is inviting friends and other people to attend and participate in the experience. Where does the inspiration to do such a thing come from? I had fun exploring an animated world where blob-like creatures find a strange source of inspiration and things get a little out of hand. But sometimes that’s the way art and music goes…” – Derek Barber

Please watch and enjoy! Be sure to check out Derek's music and other beautiful videos - @perhapsymusic

Also! I now have CD digipaks for ‘You Would Do Well’. DM or head to bandcamp to order – it will ship out, post haste!

Big love to you all.
