This marks the end of my study abroad in Canada. This past week has been one of the greatest of my entire life. It has been incredibly informative on the differences between US and Canadian healthcare, and the intricacies between primarily public and primarily private health care systems. I am infinitely grateful to all the people who could make this trip happen, and to all the wonderful friends I made along the way. by @mouseburrow

Thursday in Quebec city! We started the day by traveling to the Grand Marché, where we joined Le Tablée des Chefs in cooking meals for families in need around Quebec! Then, we walked to the Jeffrey Hale Hospital and received a presentation and tour from Mélie DuChampion, and learned a bit about the Canadian healthcare system and what long-term hospital care looks like. Then, we ended the day by running around Old Quebec! 🥰👍 taken in Quebec by @mouseburrow

Wednesday in Old Quebec! We walked around and sight-saw, and got to experience the lovely architecture of a 400 year-old city! Then, we traveled to Jeffrey Hales Saint Brigid’s Home, where we learned about long-term end-of-life care, and did some volunteer activities with the elderly residents! Then, we ended the night at a sugar shack with singing, dancing, and maple syrup on a stick. 🙂‍↕️ taken in Old Quebec City by @mouseburrow
