Since our pregnancy announcement, I’ve reflected a lot on how I’ve wanted this page to look.

Before I was pregnant, I was always the person who said “I’m going to be active during my entire pregnancy!” And then my ass got HUMBLED in the first trimester. Luckily no morning sickness, but extreme fatigue. Food was gross - all I survived on was buttered noodles, uncrustables and goldfish. I powered through teaching my yoga class and needed every nap

I started to get my energy back around week 11. Slowly making my way back into the gym, practicing yoga and taking walks. I will be 17 weeks on Thursday - time is flying - the energy is back and real food tastes good again! Now my workouts are focused on helping with labor & delivery. Here is my lower body circuit from today’s workout!

I want this page to be an honest reflection of my journey: pre-pregnancy, during pregnancy and postpartum. I want this page to inspire all women: moms, soon to be moms, fur-mamas, fun aunties.

I hope this page inspires you to move, to rest, to go outside and move with more patience and grace.

Thank you for being with me on this journey 🫶🏻

It has been a minute, we have been in MOTION

As of April - I have a new last name! @apeacock37 and I got married on our 8th dating anniversary 🥰

It has been a wild two months of newlywed life

In May, I hit my year anniversary of teaching yoga at @crunchhilliard - watching my students’ growth and my growth over the past year has been extremely rewarding. So much love for my Thursday night crew 🫶🏻

And now we’re into June - Aaron and I are closing on our first home on the 27th! The home-buying process was overwhelming at times, but went so smoothly with the help of @megbrownrealtor and her team! We can’t wait to take possession and make it our own!

The past two months have been packed. My body needed some rest, so I took some time off from lifting and spinning. Today was my first lift BACK (pun intended) and it felt good getting back to it!

Always a reminder to do what is best for you, your body and your mental health - and yes, that means saying no and taking breaks when you need it 😊 by @move.with.cara

Today is our 1 year anniversary of being back home in Columbus ☺️

It’s wild to reflect on the last 365 days. Aaron and I have been part of so much change, reunions and celebrations. We’ve accomplished so much, even though sometimes it feels like we haven’t.

I started teaching at Crunch. I found a new love for spin classes - thank you @spengahilliard ! And my Modo family, you have all been so amazing!

I spent this morning at @modoyogacbus on my mat and today’s intention in was all about finding your way. Finding your way where you need to be or finding your way back home. How perfect! Thank you, PJ 🫶🏻

Whether it’s a person, a place or a feeling - remember that home will always be there. Shoutout Ohio & all my people 💜 #Home #FindingYourWay by @move.with.cara

Crazy how fast time goes!

A year ago I graduated from yoga teacher training at @hotyogau (miss my AZ fam so damn much 💜) and now I have the privilege of being part of two wonderful communities in Columbus @modoyogacbus @crunchgym - I have 3 official classes under my belt and the summer schedule starts next week!

Student first always, but I am having too much fun teaching and getting to know my students 🫶🏻

On April 18th, I had my first audition for my first yoga teaching job. Me and my yoga sequence notebook against the world! I was terrified 😂

I saw a quote that said “if something is both terrifying and amazing, you should definitely pursue it” - do shit that scares you!

Stepping out of my comfort zone has led to so many terrifying and amazing things. Starting the week of June 3rd, I begin my yoga teaching journey at @crunchhilliard 😊

I am thrilled to be part of the Crunch family. I can’t wait to create fun, strength building flows for my students. Yoga and strength training are my two passions and they complement each other so well. See you on your mats Thursdays at 7:15pm 💜

All you need is love, love is all you need ❤️

Let’s talk about love. My 2024 mantra is LOVE. And it’s love for a lot of reasons. To start we have SIX (yes six) weddings we will be attending this year. We will be celebrating love all year. Also, we are in the process of planning our own wedding in April 2025 - it has been exciting in the early stages of planning 🥰

Besides the weddings, here are the other reasons why I chose love:

To me, self love is the most important form of love. The relationship with yourself dictates your relationship with others. Speak kindly to yourself, nourish yourself always. I haven’t been so kind to myself in the past. I am working on this daily.

Loving the journey is another important piece of my 2024 mantra. Life throws so many curve balls at you, but that’s what makes it so beautiful.

Love your support system: having family and friends that love you help make the journey so much easier to navigate

Loving the present moment - we all overlook so much by thinking ahead/toward the future. Love right now. Enjoy the present - way easier said than done and that’s why I’m working on it

💖

For those of you who don’t know, Aaron and I met in a boxing gym back in January of 2017. The gym has always been something we love to do together and where we spend our Valentine’s Day. I love doing things I love with the person I love. Swipe to see our first Valentine’s Day photo 😘 by @move.with.cara

Hello & Happy New Year!

I am so thrilled to announce that I am part of Energy Exchange Program at @modoyogacbus - Starting this Sunday afternoon catch me working the front desk, cleaning & maintaining the space and contributing to the positive energy that this community brings!

Modo Yoga has welcomed me with open arms and has been a place of inspiration since my move back to Columbus. I cannot wait to deepen my practice, learn from my peers and be part of the Modo Columbus team!

See you on the mat! 💜

In honor of National Hiking Day, sharing some memories from one of my favorite trips we’ve ever taken: the magnificent Zion National Park! #GetOutside #TakeAHike #NationalHikingDay #HikeZion #AngelsLanding #EmeraldPools #ZionNationalPark #MyForeverAdventurePartner #DoGoChasingWaterfalls by @move.with.cara

Hi everyone. It’s been awhile. Let’s talk change.

We started our journey home on August 22nd. It has officially been a little over a month since we’ve left Arizona. We have done a lot in our first month back in Ohio. We’ve reunited with family members and friends that we have not seen in years. We celebrated our friends’ wedding. We started new jobs. We moved into our new home. We went to a music festival. We even had the pleasure of attending an Ohio State football game - just like old times. It has been a full of reunion and celebration.

Let’s talk about how difficult change is too. Aaron and I spent 3 of those 4 weeks living out of our suitcases in temporary living. We’ve had to sacrifice our routines. We’ve had to adjust to a new time zone, a new sleep schedule and a “new” city. At work, I’m adjusting to a new sales territory, different customers, a new segment. It’s been really challenging.

As people who hold themselves to a high standard, this month has taught us to give ourselves more grace. Adjusting to all of this new is going to take patience and time. It’s unrealistic to demand perfection when we’ve only been back for a month. We will form our new routines. Our new place will start to feel like home - it’s only been a week since we’ve been in it! Work will start to get easier. And it will all work out it as the universe intended.

We can choose to resist change or we can choose to embrace it. Let’s embrace it. These challenges, emotions and feelings are not permanent. That’s the beauty of it all 💜
