Stäläg 13 are legendary Nardcore pioneers formed in 1980 in Oxnard, CA. One of the scene’s “Big 4” alongside Ill Repute, Agression, and Dr. Know, they helped define the early Southern California hardcore sound. Their classic 1984 LP In Control remains a hardcore staple. After decades of worldwide shows and multiple releases, Stäläg 13 continue to deliver the raw energy and positive spirit of early ’80s hardcore.

STOPLOSS, Lowell Hardcore since 2009, featuring members of Shipwreck A.D. and The Fake Boys have been playing their version of fast, pissed, abrasive hardcore punk. Their full length “Wander, Defy, Relent, Decay” is out on Constant Disappointment Records.

Today we observe the 36th anniversary of the MOVE bombing. We want to pay respects to the 11 MOVE members, including 5 children murdered by the white supremacist capitalist state apparatus of Philadelphia. Their pigs backed by the mayor bombed Black Philadelphians and burnt down an entire Black neighborhood to the ground as an act of repression against the MOVE group and their supporters. They were subsequently terrorizing the remaining MOVE members for decades, jailing the MOVE 9, using the remains of some of the children who perished in the fire as artifacts for show. It one of the most despicable acts of white supremacist violence, and it was not a century ago. It was only 36 years.
We honor the MOVE members who have fallen and those who have continued to fight for Black lives ever since.

MOVE was one of the 4 influences that came too when choosing a band name. We ask that whenever referring to our band, you make the clear distinction of using “Move” or “Move BHC” and NEVER “MOVE” as we are not nor ever plan on trying to co-opt the MOVE org. Follow @onthemoveventures as they are still fighting for Black lives decades later. taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @move_bhc
