11 nights on our first @atlantisevents cruise ever, it was definitely as much about the journey as the destination. 🚢Ports across Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, and Aruba — with ATV’ing and white-water rafting, and more tea dances, parties, and conversations than I can count. 🕺Thanks @bendoesbroadway for being an incredible cruise director! Abundance, gratitude, intention. ✨

I’ve been trying to put words to this last long weekend — from kicking off with @rileyduckman and a sushi date with Bradley to a couple days at #AustinCityLimits surrounded by friends, music, dancing, strangers-turned-friends and so many unexpected moments.

And that’s what I keep coming back to: the moments you couldn’t have planned.

A patch of plywood becoming a dance floor at @cannonstheband. Someone passing around glasses that turned the lights into hearts at @rufusdusol. New friends welcoming us into their group. Holding a giant rainbow flag twirling against the night sky. Dancing through the mud like it was our runway. Finding confidence in the moment to walk up to @sweetlifeofaustin when you think it’s him, thanking him and his boyfriend for sharing their story for others who need to hear it. A set you almost skipped becoming exactly what you needed.

RÜFÜS transporting us somewhere completely different. @charlie__xcx reminding me of the power of unapologetic self-expression. @bleachersmusic, @sofitukker, Max McKnown and @twentyonepilots each bringing something I didn’t know I needed until I was there.

I’m learning to approach moments like these from a place of abundance instead of scarcity: to be present, stay open to the unexpected and appreciate the people I’m with — along with the strangers who might enter your life for only one song, dance or conversation but still leave something behind.

When it’s time to leave the AirBNB, walk away from a set, hug someone goodbye or close out the weekend, I’m practicing something new: pausing to acknowledge it.

Thank you for this person. Thank you for this experience. Thank you for this version of me that got to be here.

Then let the chapter close without being sad that it’s over.

Because none of the good disappears. You carry it forward into whatever comes next.

More presence. More openness. More gratitude. More saying yes to the unexpected. More life.

This is what it’s all about: creating spaces, sharing moments, laughing to crying and belting out every line to Whitney and everything in between — experiencing life. After everything I’ve gone through with this flip-gone-bad (plus it’s an old house!), this felt like a moment of reclamation, making new memories with friends in spaces we envision and design. Photo dump from the first half of September. Life is adventurous and full, and has definitely had some moments of pressure and doubt and anxiety that might not always come through in these pics. But I’ve been feeling proud of the growth in awareness and intentionality, and for sure the power of breath and focusing on one thing at a time, sometimes as small as “focus on the individual muscle fiber in this one rep” or “that one sip and then you don’t really want anymore.” Dallas has been insanely hot but I’m so fortunate to have escaped to some water spots. AI apocalypse coming soon?! Did I contribute to it by making my 80s lookalike which just looks like me now anyway? Time will tell. If that happens, I’ll definitely want to look like the last slide from @priority.sup. They get it. by @movement_ryan

More highlights from August: patios, pools, beaches with family coming together; we had the band play “5 o’,clock Somewhere” for Mema at the 🫎, and I jumped over for my first massage conference and visiting friends in Denver. Gym may not have been as consistent through all this and drinks may have been on the upside (break @joinsunnyside yet? 🤔💀🤣), but ya know, we’re balancing a lot. by @movement_ryan
