Today is the start of my 55th year. A year I hope will be as memorable as the last. 🪷 And Wow what a year!! It has brought me so much love, happy memories and I just love learning and growing !! This year, I qualified as a yoga teacher, thank you, thank you, thank you to @zoeporteryoga But yoga teacher training wasn’t my only training this year… I found myself at She Awakens training from @sarah_rush_yoga , where I learnt how to live in sync with the moon 🌙 Thai Yoga Massage training, which I am still in the process of completing my case studies and I am thoroughly enjoying this journey @gladwellmassage Plus my completion of a Yin and Traditional Chinese Medicine CPD with Joy at @dorset_school_of_yoga where I feel I have gained a deeper insight into the practice 🙏 I enjoyed collaborating with friends to bring lovely workshops to you all such as my collaborations with @divine.healing.circle and @jo_tropic_cosmetics 🧘‍♀️ During the summer I volunteered at @parkyogauk with the amazing @lunayogawinchester which was so fun and I met so many lovely people! Now I am regularly teaching a moon cycle yin class at @nova__wellness and am so excited to be able to offer you all many more classes in the future too! Honourable mention: teaching a yoga class on Bondi Beach when I was visiting Australia! 🇦🇺 I can’t wait to see what the next year brings - honestly I feel life has flourished after 50 so please, please never feel sad about getting older; just enjoy each chapter! 💕 by @movementwithmel_
The more I teach, the more I realise that what I want to offer in my classes 🧘‍♀️ A chance to slow down. To take an hour or two for yourself. To move, breathe and release the weight of everyday life and stress. To nourish your body, quieten the mind and reconnect with yourself. Yoga has been one of the most transformative practices in my own journey. Yin’s gentle, meditative nature reminds us that growth doesn’t always come from doing more, sometimes it comes from slowing down and creating space to listen. 🪷 I’m so grateful to be able to share these practices and support others in finding moments of calm, connection and balance in their own lives. 🫂 This feels personal to me, those who know my own journey will recognise why creating this is so personal and important to me! 🥰 I am excited to bring more classes to you all and I am proud to be a part of your journey too ❤️ #newmooninvirgo #yinyoga #moonritualswithmel #newforestyoga by @movementwithmel_
New Moon in Virgo Yin Yoga ✨ The New Moon is a beautiful time to pause, reflect and begin again. This September’s New Moon falls in the earth sign of Virgo, inviting us to slow down after the business of Summer and reconnect with what truly nourishes us. Virgo reminds us that transformation doesn’t have to come through huge changes; often it begins with planting seeds for steady progress instead of reaching for perfection, making time for those small acts of self-care and being kind to ourselves. In this gentle 90-minute Yin Yoga class we’ll explore the energy of the Virgo New Moon through: 🌙 Grounding breathwork 🌙 Deeply nourishing Yin postures 🌙 Reflections and intention setting 🌙 A calming Yoga Nidra to help you rest, restore and reconnect No experience of yoga or working with the moon is needed. This is simply an opportunity to step away from our busy lives, spend some time with yourself and connect with a lovely community of like-minded people. So whether you’re new to yoga, curious about lunar living, or returning to your after some time away, I’d love to welcome you. 📅 Friday 11th September 6.30pm - 8.00pm 📍 Nova Wellness 🤍 Limited to 8 spaces- book via the link in my bio #YogaWithMel #NewMoonInVirgo #YinYoga #LunarLiving #SouthamptonYoga by @movementwithmel_

Last months round up: June invited me to move in rhythm with both the Moon and the Sun. 🌞🌝 Starting with the Gemini New Moon and fresh intentions. 🙏 As the month unfolded, there were so many opportunities to gather, connect and share the practice of yoga. A highlight was celebrating the Summer Solstice in our lovely community with Divine Healing Sister Circle, pausing to reflect on all that has blossomed since winter and all that we are still becoming. 🌱 I enjoyed volunteering at Park Yoga in Winchester helping the inspiring Lorna Chapman - it was wonderful to see so many people of all ages there and just lots of fun snapping pics and being part of something amazing. Even dogs, children and babies were there - reminding us that yoga is for everyone! 🌍 I loved deepening my own practice at an Ella’s Ashtanga workshop. Then there was the magic of beach yoga with Soulful Sophie; moving, breathing and connecting beside the sea and surrounded by nature. The icing on the cake was doing these classes with my daughter Sophie 😍😍 As we end the month beneath the beautiful Strawberry Full Moon, I reflect and am grateful - for my yoga journey, friendships made, community, and for the many moments of joy woven through this month. Thank you, June ☀️🌓 by @movementwithmel_
What a beautiful day of movement, self care, and connection 💚✨ A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Yoga & Tropic Pamper Event. We hope you left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and glowing inside and out! 🌿 Thank you for supporting this event, and we can’t wait to welcome you to the next one! 🩷 #hampshireyoga #tropic #newforest #wellnessworkshop #hampshire by @movementwithmel_
Summer Solstice Celebration Last night 10 beautiful goddesses joined myself, @butterflieswithbeauty, @movementwithmel_ and @solace.sauna to celebrate the longest day of the year. The summer solstice invites us to pause and reflect on all that we have achieved in the last 6months, all the ways in which we have grown and evolved. It is a chance to express our gratitude for how far we have come and all that we have ✨ by @movementwithmel_
