This Father’s Day, I am blessed to stand in the middle of three generations — between the father who guided me and the son who now carries fatherhood forward with faith, love, and responsibility.

My father was a godly man, a successful businessman, a devoted family man, and a very generous person. He had the courage to build a successful life in two different countries, and he showed me the pathway of faith, responsibility, hard work, generosity, and fatherhood. His guidance still speaks into my life, and I am grateful for the example he gave to me and to the generations after him.

On my right is my son, Evan Mathew, who has become an amazing father himself. He is a godly man, a good-hearted person, and a man who cares deeply for his family, his community, this nation, and people around the world. I want to take this moment to congratulate him and honor him for the way he loves, leads, provides, and serves.

I am also deeply grateful for my daughter, Grace Mebane, who is a precious part of my life, my heart, and the legacy God has entrusted to me as a father.

I cannot thank my Heavenly Father enough for keeping us connected through this journey on earth. Fatherhood is not just a title — it is a calling, a responsibility, and a legacy.

Happy Father’s Day to my son, Evan Mathew ❤️
And with a grateful heart, I honor my father for the guidance, faith, generosity, and example he left for us. by @movemetook

This reel was originally captured during a Real Broker national convention a few years ago… and today, it means even more.

In 2023, I made a decision to step into a new chapter with Real Broker. It was a move rooted in faith, vision, and the belief that the future of real estate was evolving.

Now, just a few years later, seeing Real Broker acquire RE/MAX—the company where I spent 23 incredible years (1987–2010)—is truly a full-circle moment.

What a journey.

I’m deeply grateful to God, the mentors, and the relationships that helped guide me to see where the industry was heading before it became obvious.

The future of real estate is here—and it’s only getting stronger.

If you’ve been thinking about your next move, your growth, or your future in this business, I’d be honored to connect and share what I’ve learned.

Let’s visit—anywhere across the United States or Canada.

Sure! Let’s weave them together naturally. Here’s a suggestion:

“Real Acquires Remax—what a #FullCircleMoment! I’m #GratefulForTheJourney and excited for the #FutureOfRealEstate. With 40YearsOfService, #GodsHand has guided my #RealEstateJourney. If you’re wondering #WhatsNextInRealEstate or looking for #RevenueShareOpportunities and #MoreWaysToMakeMoneyInRealEstate, let’s build your future together. #DavidLiniger, #TamirPoleg, and #RealBrokerAcquiresRemax are all part of this #NextChapter. Stay #FaithDriven and #BuildYourRealEstateCareer with a #GodCentered approach.” by @movemetook

Buyers Have More Room To Negotiate Right Now

Good news if you're house hunting: the asking price may not be the final word. Right now, about 60% of homes are selling below their original asking price. With budgets stretched thin, a little give on price or terms can take some pressure off your wallet. But how much you can negotiate depends on where you're buying. So, let's chat about what you can ask for in the neighborhoods you're eyeing. by @movemetook

Planning for the years ahead often comes down to one big decision: stay or move.

Staying in your house could mean you have to do some updates like grab bars, walk-in showers, and wider doorways. Moving to a 55+ community lets you skip the remodel and puts a lot of perks right outside your door.

Many offer on-site amenities, added security, and an HOA that takes care of shared spaces. Plus, they make it easy to feel connected to the people around you.

And the equity you've built in your current house could help you make the move.

Higher mortgage rates are making buyers pay closer attention to one thing: the monthly payment.

And builders know it. Right now, 13.8% of new-construction listings are advertising reduced rates, giving some buyers a way to bring that monthly payment down.

So, if you're selling near new construction, that's something worth paying attention to. But it doesn't mean you automatically need to match what a builder is offering.

Depending on your house, your market, and the buyer, competing could mean negotiating on price, helping with closing costs, offering a rate buydown, or simply doing a better job highlighting what your house offers that a new build doesn't.

The point isn't to give more away. It's to know what you're competing against so you can choose the right strategy from the start.

If you're planning to sell, let's look at what buyers can get in our area and make sure your house is positioned to compete. by @movemetook

What Higher Mortgage Rates Mean for Home Sellers

Higher mortgage rates are making buyers more cost-conscious. Builders know that, and many are responding with reduced rate, closing-cost help, price reductions, and other incentives.
If you're thinking about selling, let's look at what buyers are getting from other homes in our area – including new construction – and make sure your house is positioned to compete. by @movemetook

Some of you are scared home prices are about to crash. Others are hoping they will. But will it happen?

Fannie Mae just asked over 100 housing experts where prices are headed through 2030. And the consensus is prices are expected to rise, not crash.

Even the most pessimistic experts still forecast prices will go up 6.6%.

So, whether you're bracing for a crash or hoping for one, the forecast is clear. While some markets may see small short-term declines, home prices are going to keep going up nationally.

Have questions about what this means for your move, or what’s happening locally? Let's chat. by @movemetook

Hoping for (or Dreading) a Housing Crash? The Experts Just Weighed In.

Whether you're bracing for a crash or hoping for one, the verdict is the same – prices are still expected to rise, not fall. Let's talk about what that means for your market and your plans. by @movemetook

Price cuts have climbed for 7 straight months.

Right now, more than 4 in 10 homes for sale have already had one, and it usually comes down to one thing – the market's moving faster than most sellers expected and their pricing hasn’t necessarily kept up.

A home that needs a cut usually just sat too long priced above what buyers will actually pay right now.

Selling soon? Let's set your number right from day one, so you skip that wasted time.

House hunting? A home that's had its price reduced means the seller's already been through that wait. And sellers who've been sitting are usually ready to deal. by @movemetook
