February 2026 - it was my favorite type of Olympics - Winter Olympics, when figure skating is on a world stage. An exciting upset by my current favorite skater was delightful. A trip to fabulous Palm Springs with @andrewjboeckmann , @rmil3, @bo.gardens, @bobbytemps and @bryaninnyc ! Some bingoing with @blairleblair and the @conangray concert with @goodcatholic91 where we were read to filth for being multi-generational fans! PS - I did not know some of the photos were cut off until I published! Apologies to the offended parties! by @moveoveritsbilly

January 2026 - the start of the weirdest year of my life. Launching with a lovely virtual shout out from @njjisrelentless , and thankfully continues with my regular Jan travels to @usfigureskating Nationals in St Louis with @grammablerico , @dregan76 and @mcallan.nyc , and finishing with a few other visits and the first devastating death of the year. by @moveoveritsbilly

I never considered myself a reader. In my first 17 years in NYC I could probably count on 2 hands the number of novels I read. On a lark, after going to Dennis Petrone’s book signing at @ritznewyork , other friends in attendance suggested - maybe we should do a Book Club about it. After begrudgingly agreeing, a decade later we are still reading books. While it has certainly not turned me into a lectiophile, there have been a few books I have actually enjoyed. What has been a constant pleasure is the discussion, bringing me back to my very enjoyable high school English classes open discussion days.
