POV: Everyone thinks pregnancy makes you fragile…

But no one talks about how it can also show you just how strong you really are.

At 20 weeks pregnant, I’m still moving, still training, still showing up.

Not because I’m trying to prove something.
Because movement is a celebration of what my body is capable of.

Pregnancy isn’t about pushing harder.
It’s about moving smarter.
Some seasons require more rest. Some require more strength.
The beauty is learning to listen to your body instead of fearing it.

Your body isn’t breaking…
It’s building a whole human.
And that’s the strongest thing it will ever do. 🤍

For most of my life, I was the “bigger girl.”

I spent years trying different diets, workouts, and routines, chasing a version of myself I thought I needed to become. It wasn’t until the last few years that I truly committed to my health—not because I hated my body, but because I wanted to see what I was capable of.

Slowly, I became stronger.
Fitter.
More confident.
For the first time in my life, I felt completely at home in my body.

Then I got pregnant.

And if you’ve ever experienced pregnancy, you’ll know the mental shift that comes with it. One day your body feels familiar, and the next it feels like it’s changing faster than you can process. The body you’ve worked so hard to build no longer feels entirely your own.

Some days that transition has been emotional.
But as I look back, I realize something incredible.

Without even knowing it, all those years of training weren’t just preparing me for a stronger body—they were preparing me for this season of life.

Every workout.
Every run.
Every early morning.
Every weight I lifted.

I was building the strength that would one day help me grow a healthy baby.

And while my body is changing, stretching, and making space for a little human, I’m learning that strength isn’t always measured by abs, muscle definition, or a number on a scale.

Sometimes strength looks like surrender.
Sometimes strength looks like growing a human.
Sometimes strength looks like embracing a season you never fully understood until you lived it.

This body isn’t gone.

It’s doing the most important job it will ever do.

And when this chapter ends, I’ll rebuild. Not because I need to “get my body back,” but because I know what this body is capable of.

For now, I’m choosing gratitude.
For the body that carried me through my strongest years.

And for the body that’s carrying my baby now. 🤍

The moment Move With Lea began… 🤍
The inspiration started here.

At just 4 weeks pregnant, I began asking the same questions so many moms ask:
…Is this exercise safe?
…Can I still train?
…How do I support my changing body?
…What should I actually be doing?

The deeper I went into my own pregnancy journey, the more passionate I became about helping women feel confident, educated, and supported through every stage of motherhood.
Today, Move With Lea is built on that mission:

🤍 Safe movement
🤍 Strong motherhood
🤍 Personalized support
🤍 Real-life coaching for real moms
Because motherhood shouldn’t mean doing it alone.

Are you currently pregnant or postpartum? 🤍

✨5 Pregnancy Exercise Myths I Wish More Moms Knew

One of the biggest reasons women stop moving during pregnancy is fear.

Fear of hurting the baby.
Fear of doing the wrong thing.
Fear of being judged.

The truth? Safe, guided exercise during pregnancy can be one of the best things you do for yourself and your baby.

🤍For most healthy pregnancies, exercise is encouraged and can help improve energy, reduce back pain, support mental health, and prepare the body for birth.
🤍Many women can safely begin gentle exercise during pregnancy with appropriate guidance. Walking, strength training, mobility work, and prenatal fitness are often excellent starting points.
🤍Strength training is generally safe during pregnancy when exercises are modified appropriately.
Building strength can help support your changing body, improve posture, and prepare you for carrying and caring for your baby.
🤍This guideline is outdated. Most experts now focus on how you feel rather than a strict heart rate number. You should be able to hold a conversation and avoid pushing to exhaustion.
🤍Rest is important, but so is movement. Regular exercise can help reduce pregnancy discomforts, improve sleep, support mood, and promote a healthier pregnancy.

Which myth have you heard before?

When I first fell pregnant, I quickly realized how overwhelming fitness during pregnancy can feel.
Everywhere you look, there’s conflicting advice.

“Don’t lift weights.”
“Don’t run.”
“Be careful.”
“Don’t do too much.”
And suddenly something you’ve done your whole life starts to feel scary.

As someone who has always loved movement, I found myself questioning everything.
Can I still train?
What’s safe?
Am I doing too much?
Am I doing enough?

The truth is, many women are left feeling confused, anxious, and afraid to move their bodies during one of the biggest transitions of their lives.
That’s why I started Move With Lea.
Not to help women chase a certain body.
Not to help women “bounce back.”

But to help women feel confident, informed, supported, and strong throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

As a first-time mama, I’m learning alongside you.
As a certified Pre & Postnatal Coach, I’m here to guide you.
And as a woman, I understand just how vulnerable this season can feel.
You deserve support.
You deserve community.
And you deserve to feel strong in your motherhood journey. 🤍

Hi, I’m Lea 🌸

For the past 9 years, I’ve had the privilege of living and working around the world — from South Africa to China, Vietnam, and Saudi Arabia. And a lot of travelling in-between.

I’ve worked with children, families, and students from different backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life. Every experience taught me something valuable, but deep down, I always felt there was something more I was meant to do.

Now, as a first-time mama, Psychology student, and Certified Pre & Postnatal Coach, I’ve finally found what truly lights me up.

Helping women feel strong, supported, confident, and connected to their bodies throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood.

This isn’t just another business for me.
It’s a passion I’ve carried for years and a journey I’m living myself every single day. My happy place in movement and what better way to do it than starting here.

Can we talk about this for a second? 🤍
No one really prepares you for the mental side of pregnancy.
One day you’re celebrating the fact that you’re growing a tiny human.
The next day you’re staring at your reflection wondering where your abs went. 😅

You can be incredibly grateful and still miss your old body.

You can be excited to become a mom and still struggle with all the changes.
Both can exist at the same time.

At 17 weeks pregnant, I’m learning that movement isn’t about shrinking myself anymore. It’s about supporting my body through one of the biggest transformations of my life.

Any other moms feeling this way? 🌸👇 by @movew.ithlea
