Another year of Hyrox Abu Dhabi with the @fitground.uae team βœ… This time racing our 2nd Pro Doubles with @hellofynnk again! We went in wanting to see how much we'd progressed since our last race 2 months ago. Goal was to shave off at least 1 min (if we could πŸ™ˆ), but also mindful that every race is different, so the real plan was: no pressure, have fun, do our best. ✨️ Shaved off 49 sec πŸ₯Ή small win, and we're taking it 🫢 Thank you for another chaotic race. Through the burpee madness (omggg 😭), the pain, the cute fits, the matching nails, AND the green bowties πŸŽ€πŸ’š And to the Fitground fam, always the best supporters and community πŸ₯Ή Support from the sidelines really does make the suffering less painful… especially when you're being yelled to keeep going, smile, and BREATHEEE πŸ˜‚β€οΈ πŸ“· @paulinard_ Next stop: Dubai πŸ‘€ #roxfit by @movewithamandalmy
We can spend years mastering the details of movement - alignment, precision, strength and control. But if we focus so heavily on technique, we can lose the feeling behind it. The opposite is true too. Feeling, creativity, and expression also need a foundation. The magic happens when the two meet. I try to bring energy to my asana practice, but in moving countries again, I've been neglecting it a bit too much. It's also meant I've been hesitant to return, scared of the flexibility I've lost, and for familiar movements to feel unfamiliar again - that's uncomfortable. I'm trying to find some softness and presence again by focusing on technique (to give me structure) and the feelings that come with it to reignite the fire. in @lululemon | @lululemonsoutheastasia + @this.is.olie mats, always Yoga | selfcare 🌿 by @movewithamandalmy
I just realised it’s been exactly 2 years since I started running. πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯ΉπŸ₯Ή Oct 2024 meee would NEVER believe this. πŸ˜‚ Started running because of HYROX, and honestly, I was just trying not to die after 10 minutes. Hahaha. I have good days and also have hard days. And I've learnt that the runs that we don't want to do, are usually the ones that we need the most! And that progress takes time and looks different for everyone. So just keep showing up and trying. πŸ’― 🀍 Having people who push and encourage you along the way makes such a difference. πŸ₯Ή You know who you are!! So thank you for making suffering bearable, by doing it together hehe πŸ₯° 2 years later, still trying and always learning. ✌️✌️ by @movewithamandalmy
Checked out a new spin studio in AD a week back. Mainly there to support Tanya's first class and her back into spin coaching ✨️✨️ πŸ“@circle7cycle by @movewithamandalmy
September recap ✨️ Sept was a month where I tried to test my limits juuust a little, by adding an extra session after a long/intense one, pushing through fatigue leg, or squeezing in an extra strength session. 🫠 Which probably explains why I wake up feeling like my body got hit by a bus almost every morning. πŸ˜‚ Bless you, body. Thank you for being… somehow still functioning πŸ«‘πŸ˜‚ by @movewithamandalmy
I find myself going back to these 3 workout sets whenever I’m on a time crunch but still wanna squeeze in a quick core session. ✌️ Quick, effective, full-core engagement with a flat back. πŸ˜‚πŸ”₯ Pinning this here in case anyone else needs a quick core fix! 🫢🏻 Wearing @lskd.usa @lskd #deepcore #coreworkout by @movewithamandalmy

Ran (indoor) a little more in August compared to last month cz didn’t wanna lose the momentum or my engine πŸ˜‚ Somehow scaled down a little on HIIT + weights, so I guess September will be about balancing that out lol. πŸ’ͺ🏻 Also getting more serious about my running over the next couple of months because my HYROX partners are SUCH good runners 🫠 How am I supposed to shave off another 30 secs from my average pace omg 😭 Buuuut i do find myself holding my breathing + pace a little longer now… so I guess I m getting better?? hahaha. πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ #workouroutine #runningirl by @movewithamandalmy
Still find it funny that the best running shoes I've owned came from stumbling into a store on some random street in Shenzhen. In the rain haha πŸ˜† In conjunction with the @xtepofficial Xtep Malaysia 9.9 Sale campaign on Shopee (8–10 Sept), I wanted to share how I found the brand and what running in the 2000km 5.0 has actually been like. ( 100% not a script and genuine experience ✨️ ) Swipe to read β†’ I was in Shenzhen couple months back and needed a pair of runners for a workout coming up. @elin_chak casually pointed at the Xtep store at a random street we were at (can even remember where it was) and said let's see what they have. @chrislaiyh on the other hand (on the phone) filtering through the best model to get haha. Bless yall! β™₯️ Walked in with zero expectations. Walked out with a pair of Xtep 2000km 5.0. πŸ’― When I started running, I was told to invest in a good pair of shoes. I'd tried a few proper running shoes before. Not bad, but somehow, my legs still ached extrs the next day, and I started getting shin splints. I figured that was just the deal. I wasn't a runner, and I was suddenly running more than I had all year. Of course, things hurt. Then I tried these. In the first few runs, I could already feel it. Legs are less wrecked. Way fewer shin splints. Thought it was in my head. Months later, I'm sure it wasn't. πŸ₯Ή I'm also flat-footed but can't speak for every flat-footed bestie out there cz feet are weird haha. But if you asked me? I'd say give them a try. πŸ’― For my fellow Malaysians folks πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύ πŸ™Œ Xtep Malaysia is running up to 60% off storewide + plus limited 15–20% coupons + a limited RM20 additional discount. πŸ“† 8 Sept, 8PM β†’ 10 Sept, 11:59PM. Sometimes the run you dread the most is exactly the one you need. 🫠 Were there days i just wanna skipped it? Absolutely. πŸ˜‚ But trust me, the results made it worth it. ✨️ Set: @lskd @lskd.running Shoes: @xtepofficial by @movewithamandalmy
This has been sitting in my drafts for way too long πŸ˜† Decided to just post it because I still think our race fit was too cute to stay in the drafts. πŸŽ€ ✨️ Top & bottoms: @lskd @lskd.running Necklace: @atoleajewelry Shoes: @pumarunning by @movewithamandalmy
July recap πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸš΄πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Better late than never πŸ˜‚ More time on the bike for longer Zone 2 sessions, plus more short-to-mid distance runs as I got closer to race day. Less chasing mileage, more training with a purpose. 🀝 by @movewithamandalmy
