Erik Cataldo is casting 4 expressive and versatile dancers for a short project in Amsterdam in September.

𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 : 𝟮𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

The work explores a mix of set choreography and improvisation, unfolding across both stage and site-specific environments. As such, dancers must be quick to pick up material and possess a distinctive way of improvising.

Applicants should feel at ease transitioning between choreography and spontaneous, intuitive movement.

The performance includes direct audience engagement in unconventional spaces.

The piece invites performers into a world that echoes club culture. Comfort with that kind of environment is important, as well as with the potential inclusion of partial nudity in select moments.

Requirements:
– Based in Amsterdam (or willing to cover their own travel and accommodation)
– Freelancers only
– All dance styles welcome
– Must be comfortable with audience interaction and improvisation
– Open to partial nudity if needed

This is a paid opportunity.

Performance Date: September 20, 2025
Rehearsals: 2 days scheduled between the 15th and the 19th of September (exact dates to be confirmed)

 🗓️ 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘: CLOSED

We’re seeking 5 versatile and charismatic dancers for an immersive experience during a music festival in Amsterdam.

Choreographed and improvised elements will be combined in a site-specific and stage-based performance that unfolds throughout the event.

Led by @erik_cataldo , the project is looking for committed and expressive dancers who are confident in improvisation, quick to adapt, and eager to collaborate. You should feel at ease moving between structured choreography and spontaneous performance, and be open to engaging with both audience and space in unconventional ways.

The performance involves close contact with the public, so dancers must be comfortable interacting in intimate, immediate settings. An affinity with club culture and nightlife environments is also essential, as the work will be deeply connected to the atmosphere of the event. There is also the possibility of half-nudity during certain parts of the performance, so applicants must be comfortable with this aspect of the work.

Dancers must be Amsterdam-based or willing to cover their own travel and accommodation costs. APPLICANTS MUST BE FREELANCERS.
All dance backgrounds are welcome.

This is a paid opportunity.

Moving back to Amsterdam with Ninja was the best decision ever!!! I’m just happy with my new life here and all the good things are happening to me…After 6 months I just can say how lucky I am!!!!meeting such a nice new “creatures”, reconnecting with old mates, discovering again the city that saw me became a little man, seeing how much I changed and I’m learning again…SOO FUCKING COOL!!! ❤️ by @mozomonzon
