John Wells, a revered figure in the Bristol rave scene, has long been hailed as a local hero, delivering electrifying sets blending #Jungle, #Acid, and Hardcore with an unparalleled energy. However, in his latest musical venture, he offers a fresh perspective on his journey. While maintaining his trademark robust production, John shifts his focus towards melancholic yet playful melodies, super-funky basslines, and peculiar alien sounds, steering away from the gabber kicks and amen breakbeats.

Having previously released two albums, "Talkin' Macheens" and "Antisocial," on the esteemed @concrete.collage label, along with a string of self-released analogue braindance albums, John's arrival on our roster is met with nothing but excitement.

In this album, John retains the quintessential elements synonymous with his Anorak sound – microscopic acid synths, meticulously crafted samples, and of course intense drumcraft. He intricately weaves these elements into a tightly structured musical framework.

To cap off the experience, the album features two remixes by Mozyk veterans Daed and Umio, adding even further dimensions to John's sonic narrative.

MOZYK023 - Time Slip - by @carl__brown
.
To preorder the album, visit the link in the bio section.
.
.
"A return to long-form explorations in the multi-decade (or even century?) 'TIME' Series, which began in 2011 with 'Time Release'. Is there enough artistic integrity and auteurism to justify such a long, un-interconnected series of projects? Does the series contain enough related elements to make sense as an ongoing concern? Will there be an infinite number of disparate, ever-evolving, revolving TIME releases? Come with me now on a journey to find out answers to literally some of these questions and more*!

*may be less

Time continues to merrily slip away, and at a predictably exponential, giddying rate towards the singularity, and I continue to write music."

A video for The Ghost of 3.13's debut album on Mozyk. Back when we started.

“Wonderland Is Turning To Dust” is a song about leaving things behind.
Things you love, things that make you feel safe. It’s a song about moving onward into a world that you don’t necessarily like but you have to be a part of.
It’s a song about coming of age if you will.

Music: Ghost of 3.13 @theghostof313
Director/Editor: Gabriel Durlan
Producer: Petru Popa
Cinematographers: George Niculescu, Alex Iatan
Color Grading: Adrian Stratulat
Costume designer: Florin Dobre
Actor: Sava Ionut Daniel
