About 4 years ago I “got rid” of my Instagram account and moved to a new one. I thought there were too many people - from too many different categories, who knew very different versions of me. How could I express myself in a way that could be understood by: first grade classmates, coworkers, aunties from church, acquaintances and strangers?

What’s appropriate? How much of myself am I willing to share? Worried about what people would think. Worried about rejection. Embarrassment. Afraid that my old opinions, disappointments, regrets might come back to haunt me.

The journey to self is a rugged road that turns to gold the further you travel. I’m proud of the twists and turns that brought me back to me. I really don’t understand why people never stopped tagging this account loool. My mozzsoundss community means so much to to me. I’ve spilled my heart there, built relationships, toppled over and built a stronger foundation with the broken pieces.

Goals for 30? To be surrounded by love

i was tryna decide if I wanna drop this essay I just poured out or a few lines that encompass how I feel about how life has been going for the last THIRTY.

Well, the lines are a verse- James 1: 2-4. And now here’s my essay

30 is beautiful. A new journey, a reflection on how far I’ve come, a realization of how much more there is to go. I’m grateful, feel more intentional than ever. I want to live with a more curious approach to life.. i want to be eager to take risks, comfortable with sitting in discomfort if it’s allowing me a space to challenge or learn something new about myself.

Scary? Fun? Idk I’m grateful and ready. pretty cool so far tho. it’s only my first month out here. To my gang -I love yall. To anybody who got beef with me - you beefing alone by @mozzsoundss

This movie meant something to me

I often see promo re: @t22felton on broadway reprising his role as Draco Malfoy. What about PeaGreen!

Maybe one of my fav movies now that I think about it. Great cast, really beautiful sets. I would LOVE to see a full tour of the set with details and props and costume design. Who got the footage

sometimes the word “performance” doesn’t capture what live shows really feel like

A group of artists, musicians, locked in with each other experiencing the music personally, improvising together, appreciating one another. Ugh that’s the really beauty of it all. Shows like this make me feel like aghhh just make it a jam session hand me a mic LOOL. Extremely talented people. @malayatinab so talented such good energy on stage, @keyonharrold beyond. really feeling the music, encouraging the band / other musicians to share their talent as well, @nirfelder insanely talented I was staring at the strings like.. how. I don’t have everyone’s handle but super talented, great group great experience. by @mozzsoundss

If you made it to the end hi and fun news I’ve started learning guitar it’s so fun I’m picking it up pretty quick I think. Comes easier than piano. More than that it’s really fulfilling, it feels like working on a puzzle, building a lego set.. learning to solve a Rubik’s cube. Also calming. King goes to sleep whenever I start practicing.
