Our First official Clemson football experience and it won’t be our last!

I don’t even know how to put into words how much fun we had spending the weekend in Clemson with our dance family! From practice with the RallyCats to the tailgate, Tiger Walk, game day, and even getting to spend time on the field after the game, it was a weekend these girls won’t soon forget!

One of my favorite parts of it all is watching Maggie look up to Maely, Kinley, and Kambry. I am so incredibly grateful she has girls like them to admire, learn from, and look up to. They may not realize just how much those little moments, hugs, pictures, and words of encouragement mean to her, but they mean the world. @kinleydancer08 @kambrydancer08 @maelydancer

Thank you @hmdance80 for the itinerary making sure we got to do all the things!

We came for the Clemson experience, but the best part was getting to share it with our dance family. These are the weekends and memories we’ll treasure forever! 🧡💜

Tomorrow starts a lot of new things for our family. New grade levels for my kids—6th and 3rd—and a new grade level for me, too. ❤️

This morning at church, I was reminded of something I really needed to hear: my assignment is not my identity. The assignments God gives us change with different seasons, but the calling remains—to know Him, make Him known, and live for His glory.

For the next 21 days leading up to our Live Love series, I’m choosing to fast from social media. I’ve realized lately just how much of my time and brain space it can quietly take. Sometimes I open an app without even thinking about it, and I’ve felt a tug to be more intentional about where my attention is going.

When I asked the Lord to help clear my mind, I felt the nudge to stop scrolling. So for this season, I want to quiet some of the noise and be fully present in the assignments God has placed in front of me right now: my faith, my family, my children, my classroom, and the people right in front of me.

Today’s reminder that I’m carrying with me:

Before I focus on what I do, I want to remember who I am.
And before I worry about my assignment, I want to stay close to the One who gave it to me. 🤍

There’s something so sad, but fulfilling about summer coming to an end. The kids got to travel with both sets of grandparents this summer and that was great! Thank you Jesus for this time! ❤️ by @mpdennisclark

It’s hard to think that we’ve been at @vintagechurch_nc long enough for Theo to come through @vintagekids_nc Last week was his last vkids class and today he sat next to me in “big church.” Tonight he goes to youth for the first time. I’m so thankful for this church and how they come along with you in all of life including pivotal moments in kids lives. As we inch closer to the start of a new school year (6th grade 🥺) I pray that Theo can hear the voice of His father in everything he thinks, says, and does! by @mpdennisclark

Amazing Mayzie deserves a permanent spot on my feed! 🧡
Not only did we get to enjoy the beach this week, but we experienced our first nationals competition! My heart just enjoyed this so much for these girls! They have worked super hard this year and made it to finals! It’s the end of the school year and the end of my run in 1st grade! Theo will be moving on to 6th and Maggie and I will be making our debut in 3rd!

This year mine and Kathy’s duo became a trio, and what an incredible journey it has been. What began as close collaboration, shared planning, and working together to do what was best for our students quickly grew into something much more, a genuine friendship.

Together, we celebrated victories, solved problems, shared countless laughs, supported one another through challenges, and poured our hearts into the children we were entrusted to teach. This year was rewarding in so many ways, not only because of the growth we saw in our students, but because of the relationships that were built along the way.

Teaching can be hard work, but having teammates who inspire, encourage, and challenge you to be better makes all the difference. I am so thankful for the memories we’ve made, the lessons we’ve learned, and the friendship that grew from this unexpected trio.

Here’s to a year full of growth, laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable moments.
