Maybe I wasn’t starting from scratch after all… maybe I was just finally deciding to take myself seriously. 🤍

🎤 Storytime on why I decided to take content creation seriously.

For years, I’ve been writing, creating, marketing, managing social media, helping brands communicate their stories and having ideas of my own.
But somehow, I kept putting myself on the back burner.

I kept waiting to feel ready.
Waiting to be better.
Waiting for the “right time.”
And sometimes, simply doubting whether I was good enough.

‼️ But I’ve realised that potential means very little if you never give yourself the opportunity to use it.

🥹So I’m choosing to start.
I’m choosing to learn, create, experiment, put myself out there and build something I can genuinely be proud of.

🎥 My UGC journey is one part of that decision.
This is me saying YES to the creative side of me that I’ve always known was there.

No perfection. No pretending I have it all figured out.
Just me showing up, learning in public and seeing where this can take me.

Here’s to taking the bold step before you feel completely ready. 🥂

🎀 Happy Monday 👉🏽Have you ever noticed that some people don’t necessarily want solutions when they share their problems? Sometimes, they want someone to agree that everything is terrible.

When people are unhappy, they may seek out others who share their unhappiness. There is a certain comfort in being around people who validate your feelings, but that comfort can become unhealthy when the relationship revolves around negativity, resentment, excuses, and complaints.

Misery loves company because shared unhappiness can feel more comfortable than the uncomfortable work of change.

Don’t let your desire to belong become the reason you remain somewhere you have already outgrown.
You can acknowledge the darkness without choosing to live there. And you can love people who are struggling without making misery your common ground.

📌 Being happy, hopeful, or ambitious does not mean you will never experience misery. It means you recognize that difficult emotions are part of being human, not the entirety of being alive.

And sometimes, the first step out of misery is not changing your circumstances. It is recognizing that the way you have learned to see your circumstances may need to change, too

🎀 Every girl deserves a childhood. Every girl deserves the freedom to learn, to grow, to make her own choices and to define her own future. Yet millions of girls are still denied that freedom.

Child marriage remains one of the most widespread violations of girls’ rights, denying millions of girls the chance to stay in school, protect their health, live free from violence and fulfil their potential.

It can have severe and lasting consequences for girls’ physical and mental health, increasing risks of social isolation, depression and emotional distress at a time when self-harm remains one of the leading causes of death among adolescent girls aged 15-19 globally.

We have the solutions: keeping girls in school; expanding access to health, protection and social services; working with families and communities to challenge harmful norms; investing in girls’ rights and supporting their leadership.
Now we must go further - and faster. It is in our power to ensure that every girl, everywhere, can realize her rights and fulfil her potential.

💗For when girls are safe, educated and empowered, they don’t just transform their own lives, they help build healthier families, stronger communities and more peaceful, prosperous societies.

Sometimes, being the strong one is the loneliest thing in the world. Everyone assumes you’ll be fine because you’ve always found a way to be, so nobody thinks to ask if you’re tired of being strong. You become so good at hiding your pain that even the people who love you the most may not notice you’re struggling. But beneath the strength, you’re still human. You deserve to be held, too. You deserve to have someone ask, ‘Are you really okay?’ and stay long enough to hear the honest answer. You shouldn’t have to fall apart before someone realizes you need support, too.

💚 I have zero regrets sharing this vulnerability with my community, just know that no one has it perfect and God is the one sustaining us all. We thank God we don’t look like what we have been through. We are overcome! Hallelujah!💗

You don’t have to fall apart before you deserve to be cared for. 💚

Sometimes, the people who need support the most are the ones who have mastered the art of saying, “I’m fine.”
They keep working. They keep showing up. They laugh, encourage others, meet deadlines and carry responsibilities. But behind closed doors, they may be struggling with things they don’t know how to put into words.

And sometimes, we neglect our own mental health because we’re too busy surviving, achieving, pleasing others or trying to keep everything together.

But you matter beyond your productivity. Beyond your responsibilities. Beyond how strong everyone thinks you are.

🌷On this World Mental Health Day, let’s remember that mental health deserves attention before a crisis, that asking for help is not a weakness, and that listening without judgment can make a difference.

If you’re struggling, you don’t have to figure everything out today. Start by telling someone you trust how you’re really feeling. Reach out for professional support if you need it. You deserve to be heard, supported and cared for.

And if someone trusts you enough to open up, please don’t minimize their pain or rush them through it. Sometimes, being heard without judgment is a meaningful first step.
Let’s create a world where “I’m not okay” is met with compassion, not shame.
