Miss Tua showcasing one of her many talents, Tua loves to paint portraits and landscapes. When Tua could no longer work due to her Parkinson’s diagnosis, she found herself at home with very little to do, she went from living a busy and outgoing lifestyle to being confined and isolated. It was here she discovered painting, with no lessons or coaching, she quickly began to love the process of learning different techniques and colour patterns. Tua finds painting helps with her mental health and maintaining her mobility and balance.

One of Tua’s NDIS goals is to have an art exhibition to showcase her paintings 💙🩷

Miss Tua enjoying her Tai Chi and Meditation this morning ☀️ Tua finds that it helps with her Parkinson’s. The low impact movements help to maintain her strength, flexibility and balance. It also helps her with mental clarity and stress.

Tua’s passion for life is so inspiring, she never lets her condition deter her from living her best life. Whether it’s doing morning exercise, recording music or painting murals. We always feel like she’s the one motivating and supporting us 💙🩷

Our new client Joey stepping outside of his comfort zone by giving fitness training a go. Joey wishes to structure a weekly routine where he can incorporate fitness, independent skill building and learning to drive and attain a NSW licence, we look to build Joey’s social, mental and independent capacity with integration into the community and the workforce, Joey hopes to one day become a youth worker to help young people with career choices, health, bullying and crime.

We have several team members at Mpower who are qualified fitness PT’s. Our approach is to empower our participants with empathetic, compassionate and positive engagement.
