I am 36… 🎂🙏🏼

With everything I have going on in my life right now, I can genuinely say this is one of the best birthdays of my life. Not because of gifts or celebrations, but because of the overwhelming amount of love, prayers, and support I’ve been blessed to receive.

God has been so good to me. Even through the storm, He’s continued to show me just how blessed I truly am. Through my family, my brothers, my friends, and even complete strangers who have lifted me up in prayer, I’ve experienced a kind of love that I will never take for granted.

Yesterday I had the honor of walking my little boy into his first day of Pre-K3 🥹❤️ and I was able to capture my 4th pep talk before he walked through those doors. 😭

My little sour patch kid 😂 one minute he’s giving you a run for your money, the next he’s the sweetest little boy in the world. ❤️

Praying God watches over him, protects him, and that he’s in there being a good boy every day. 🙏🏽

I’ve gone back and forth for a while about sharing this part of my life publicly. Not because I’m looking for attention or sympathy, but because I believe there’s a purpose in sharing our battles especially if our story can bring awareness, strengthen someone else’s faith, or remind somebody going through their own storm that there is always a reason to keep fighting. 🙏🏼

A couple of months ago, my life changed in a way I never expected. What started with doctors, tests and uncertainty eventually led to surgery, an orchiectomy, a cancer diagnosis, and now chemotherapy.

Looking through these pictures from the day of my surgery to where I am today, it’s crazy how much life can change in such a short time.

But through every appointment, every needle, every treatment, every difficult day and every moment when my mind could have gone somewhere dark, one thing has remained constant: my faith in God.

My wife, my family, friends and God have been my strength through every appointment, treatment, difficult day, and uncertain moment. Their love, prayers, and unwavering support have carried me more than they know, and my faith in God has given me the strength to keep moving forward. Faith doesn’t mean I haven’t been scared, tired, or questioned why. It means that even in those moments, I know I’m never walking alone. I’m so grateful to walk through this journey with my family and to know that God is with us every step of the way. ❤️🙏🏼

I’ve told my children that Daddy is going to be living proof that when life puts something in front of you that seems bigger than you, you keep your faith, keep doing what’s right, and keep moving forward. I believe some battles become testimonies that God can use to strengthen someone else.

To my family and friends thank you. ❤️ The prayers, calls, texts, visits, check-ins and love you’ve shown me and my family these past few months mean more than I could ever explain. God has reminded me through all of you just how blessed I truly am.

And if sharing this encourages even one person to listen to their body and get checked, it’s worth it. Life gets busy, and it’s easy to tell ourselves, “I’m young, I’m healthy, it’s probably nothing. by @mr._talk2menice

From the moment I had you at 16 years old, I knew my life had changed forever. We grew up together in many ways, and watching you graduate from high school is one of the proudest moments of my life. Through every challenge, you have shown determination, resilience, and an incredible work ethic. You have worked hard for everything you’ve achieved, and it shows in the young man you’ve become. As my firstborn, you taught me so much about love, strength, and perseverance. I am beyond proud of you and excited to see where life takes you next.
